(EN) The Mystic Path 🌲

This piece was created around the D Mystic scale, one of my personal favorite handpan scales.

There is something deeply calm and reflective about its sound and the name itself always felt very fitting.

Many years ago, the idea of creating a tool to help our customers choose their scales and visualize how a customized scale would look was born. But it was in 2023 that this idea truly began to come to life.

With the help of very special partners, this concept not only left the drawing board but also evolved into a Virtual Player with tones that faithfully replicate Mudra’s handpans. Each note was recorded in a studio with the highest quality.

On the Mudra Player, you can:

• Customize and play your scale;
• Choose from existing scales;
• Transpose keys;
• Share your scales;
• Activate reverb;
• And more improvements are coming!

We would like to thank all the professionals who made this possible:

• Serge Daher @pan.by.serge : programming;
• Fábio Stamato @fabiostamato : recording the notes of our instruments;
• Lipe Araujo @lipearaujo.oficial : graphic design;
• Pedro Thomas @pedrohandpan : launch video.

Without you, none of this would have been possible. Thank you very much!

• Customizar e tocar sua escala;
• Escolher escalas existentes;
• Transpor tonalidades;
• Compartilhar suas escalas;
• Ativar o reverb;
• E mais melhorias pela frente!

Gostaríamos de agradecer aos profissionais que fizeram isso acontecer:

There’s something so beautiful about autumn. The warm colors, the changing landscapes, and that gentle feeling of transition. 🍂

A little reminder to slow down and enjoy the beauty around us before the quieter, more inward season begins. 🧡

Working on something new

There’s something about the Romanian Hijaz that keeps pulling me back in. That mix of mystery, tension and emotion makes it such an inspiring scale to compose on.

Here’s a little piece of a new composition I’ve been working on lately, played on my mudra handpan F# Romanian Hijaz 22.

22 notes give you so much room to explore, yet I always try to keep the music itself at the center — finding melodies that flow naturally instead of using notes just because they’re there.

Really enjoying where this one is going.

What does this melody make you feel?

Working on a new composition on this beautiful Mudra D Aegean 20.

I’m honestly a little obsessed with this melody right now. I really love the movement and flow of it — even though some parts can get a little tricky sometimes.

But that’s also what makes it so much fun to play and explore.

Still a work in progress, but I’m really curious what you think about this one!
