We are not only talking about the outrageous prices of fuel and building materials. Even food, the most basic human necessity, has become unbearably expensive and far beyond what most people can afford. Contrary to what many believe, there is no free food aid reaching most families. Nearly everything that enters is sold in the markets at exorbitant prices, while thousands of people have no income and no way to earn a living.
We are not living on salaries or in an economy that has recovered. Many of us survive only because of the donations sent by kind-hearted people. Those donations are not a luxury. They provide a meal, medicine, and the bare minimum needed to stay alive. So when you hear that life has returned to normal, remember this: seeing goods on store shelves does not mean people can afford them. Life cannot be called normal when survival itself has become something only the fortunate can pay for. by @muhammad.abualatta

I respectfully request a safe passage for myself and my family out of the Gaza Strip, in a sincere attempt to escape a tragic reality we can no longer endure or adapt to. The conditions have become unlivable, and there are no remaining means for us to survive here with dignity and safety. by @muhammad.abualatta

Despite the danger and the shelling, Saadallah still insists that I take him to the beach.
I made him a simple kite and took him to the sea, because he loves it so much.
In a place where fear fills the sky, a little child still searches for moments that feel like life. 💔 He runs after his kite, laughing whenever the wind lifts it, as if the sea can still give children a reason to smile.
I try to give him one beautiful memory, even when the world around us keeps giving us painful ones. by @muhammad.abualatta

What are you waiting for, old man with the white hair?
Who brought you to this painful crossroads?
And what of the years you have lived?
Were they so cruel that they now stand before you,
leaving you to gaze upon them with such sorrow? by @muhammad.abualatta

I am not here to judge anyone, nor to tell people how they should live or cope. But I genuinely want to know: how is everyone adapting? What is the secret formula that makes all of this bearable?

I still hate staring at the ceiling of a tent. I still complain about the endless lines for water and bread. I still reject this life—a life unfit even for animals.

I still carry within me a rage that no ocean could extinguish; rage toward those who seized the food from our children's mouths, the merchants of suffering, the profiteers of war—those whose fortunes were born from the womb of this devastation.

But what truly fills me with disgust is seeing people adapt, carrying on with their lives as if nothing had happened, as if the annihilation had already ended.

How can anyone live a normal life when nothing around them resembles normality?

This devastation has not ended, and it will not simply disappear. It will remain an open wound and a permanent ruin etched into our hearts.

Even if they covered the earth with flowers from one end of this wretched planet to the other, it would never change what was done to us. The smell of this death, embedded forever in memory, will never leave. by @muhammad.abualatta

Today, my little boy turns two years old.

Two years marked by war, fear, and displacement, yet he still smiles and gives me the strength to keep going.

🎂 Happy Birthday, my son. I pray that your next birthday will be celebrated in a safe home, surrounded by your toys and dreams, not the sounds of war.

News from the ground: @muhammad.abualatta writes “The occupation does not control only 70% of the Gaza Strip. In reality, the Israeli occupation controls 100% of the Gaza Strip. In addition to its ground control over approximately 70% of the territory, it maintains operational control over the remaining areas through bombardment, constant surveillance, and control over all aspects of daily life.

What is new is that the occupation has begun extending its direct control over the remaining parts of the Gaza Strip by opening fire from crane-mounted positions stationed east of Gaza. These positions are now targeting people in the far western areas of the Strip, particularly in the Al-Rimal neighborhood. This area has generally been considered relatively less dangerous and is densely populated with residents and displaced families.

Since yesterday alone, more than five people have been killed or injured in western Gaza City as a result of gunfire from Israeli snipers and crane-mounted positions located east of the city. This indicates that the entire Gaza Strip is now under direct Israeli control” by @muhammad.abualatta
