Long, scatterbrained post alert!

This isn’t really something I do but I felt it would be cool to give a little S.E.G.A. insight. It’s not like Ant would ever say or write anything personal 🤣🤣🤣.

I think I’m really just beginning to process what the opportunity to share in VJ’s @vj.edgecombe NBA draft moment Wednesday night really meant to me, and it actually brought me to tears.

I mean I am legit crying right now, alone in an extra room at the crib 🤣🤣🤣. Reflecting as I repost content related to VJ’s amazing night and try to think of some heat to post myself 🤣. Then I was suddenly hit with a wave emotion, which is something I don’t tend to do often.

Just taking some time to think about this journey for real. We’ve built something really special, from the ground up! From the Smith Center Courts I grew up on and also started the program practices at, to the having a third pick in NBA Draft come out of our program is truly an amazing feeling!

What makes it so dope is we really did it together! Brick by brick! Despite the circumstances, independent or shoe deal. Having a deal, losing a deal. We made it happen!

The best part is, I’ve been able to do it with my bruddas! Most times at our expense financially, loss of family and free time (fishing 😂), rest etc.. The long trips and van rides, sleeping on couches, coaching 4+ games a day, and hard down arguments on hours long phone calls IYKYK 🤣. Each of us has made immeasurable sacrifices that, neither of the others may even know about. Especially Adot, the man really is a beast!

Never caring about titles or who does what (Til this day the man doesn’t know how to introduce me to anyone, it’s different every time 🤣).

We’ve done any and every role, all for one goal, to create a great platform for the boys to shine on! We honestly just do it for the love of the game and helping these young men get WHATEVER they want out of it!

VJ’s recent accomplishments are just the basketball related pinnacle of many special moments we have be blessed to play even a small role in since we started as Triple Threat in 2012. by @mula_merricks

HISTORY! I’m so proud of our 16u group bringing home the Adidas 3SSB Championship this past weekend! Since Day 1, being crowned champions was the goal and they locked in and got it done!

If you know @se_elite_3ssb you know we compete at pretty much every thing! We love winning! In sports, trophies are usually associated with winning. At the end of the day, holding the hardware is cool but the real trophies for us is every offer/scholarship earned, degree attained, pro contract signed, businessman, husband, father, son and overall amazing young man we had the opportunity to play a small role in positively having an affect on!

Swipe to the end for some history 😬

P.S. @marlondan1el came back and has done way more than work a score clock! (Proud of you boy!) and Ant still in the passenger seat falling asleep on the phone 🤣🤣🤣 by @mula_merricks

Been away from the lake for too long! Nothing like feeling of that big guhl tapping your line to let you know that she want you!

My heavenly fishing partner put me on 5 pounder a few casts in! 🕊️ by @mula_merricks

Early October 1st, Illness could no longer cause my dad anymore pain. He passed away and went to be with the Lord.

A life lived as only Wee Pee Smooth could! As every man, perfectly imperfect in his own way. Known by many and loved the same.

Life lifed for us but despite it all, we rode this thang out to the end together! ❤️

Long Live Alfred “Peewee” Merricks

I love you dad, get your rest! 🕊️🙏🏾 by @mula_merricks

Thanks to my client for trusting us with their new 26-gauge striated metal roofing system in Gallery Blue!

This could be you but you’ll keep waiting until that little leak becomes a big problem! Don’t be that person. Schedule a free roofing inspection with me today!

What a privilege it was to be a part of the 2nd Annual VJ Day and help @vj.edgecombe bring some hoops and smiles to his home island of Bimini, Bahamas!

Being able to connect with the community, experience the culture, and give back through the game that has given so much to all of us was truly an amazing experience.

The island is beautiful!…The people are even more vibrant!…And the memories we made will last a lifetime.

Grateful for the opportunity to be a small part of something so special!

Recognize this roof? This is the first roof I posted a picture of me being on. Months later we got them an upgraded shingle and full roof replacement for just the cost of their deductible. Thanks @jonthomas_407 and @muybonita407 for the opportunity to assist you with your roof replacement! by @mula_merricks

I’m excited to share that I’m working as a Project Manager with 3MG Roofing & Solar. If you or anyone you know has roof damage, leaks, storm concerns, aging shingles, or is considering solar, I’d love the opportunity to help.

If you know me you know I do my best to be as genuine as possible with everyone. I treat every project like it’s my own home! Honest inspections, clear communication, and top-tier work from start to finish.

If you’re not sure about your roof, I’m happy to do a free inspection and give real feedback (even if no work is needed).

Please reach out anytime! And if you refer a friend or family member, I won’t forget it. Yall know I take care of my people!

Thanks for always supporting me. Let’s protect some homes! by @mula_merricks
