![Cap II

[En] Mulo comes from a long term search to find a concept that could say something about our sound.
In between word and letters games shows up carrying within a common definition that defines a mule as an híbrid and sterile animal, that could perfectly match with the sound, in fact is an híbrid kind of music and it’s related at some point with some other meanings that the animal side brings, speaking about the streng and endurance of a mule devoted to work without rest.
The pursue of the sound of Mulo leads to vertiginous and intense paths that regards a level of technical management.
Luis simultaneously delivers a dense style of guitar playing and an added ability, consisting on playing bass lines in highly intricate patterns, while he plays dense ritmical stuff on his hands.

Mulo is the result of the necessity of Luis and Federico to “play with someone”.
Luis always active in his studies and groups of guitarists, during the pandemic was triggered to start developing a language to play two instruments at the same time, guitar and bass lines with his feet. Using a midi pedal board like those from the old churches organs, he started adapting songs from his projects to get used to the new instrument.
Federico back to the city after years living abroad, due to the lack of an space to study drums, borrows Luis`s studio and that’s how they started to see each other daily, one arriving and the other leaving.
Sharing time and hours of chats, they decide to jam together one night to see what could happen.
That’s how they ended up in an immersive and adrenalinic work.
