In case you haven't seen our intro post and you wonder what makes us the multigenhome...

There are 7 of us from ages 7 mo to 66. 3 generations under one roof. Also, 2 cats, 2 dogs... and a partridge in a pear tree.

We have actually been living with my parents since the end of 23'. It hasn't always been easy being a multigenhome. We moved to NC 2 years ago to build our dream home. During that time we all lived together in an 1800 sq foot house. It sometimes felt tight but it was cozy. The kids love their Nana and Baba so much. It is a little easier now that we both have our own living space. Its been chaotic moving though. We are looking forward to sharing all the process.

We made homemade Oreos! Thanks to @crowded_kitchen Kiddos wanted red and blue filling. They were super tasty.

Kiddos and I made homemade Dr Pepper.

It was a fun science experiment. It's a much healthier version. Of course trying it next to the real thing didnt taste exactly the same but it does have the same notes. It also has way less sugar and no caffeine.

We didnt really measure anything and we used fresh cherries since we had a bunch.

Here's the recipe:
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup water
2 strips each of lemon,lime and orange peel
1 cup frozen 🍒
1 cinnamon stick
2 tsp whole peppercorns
1 small piece fresh ginger
1/2 tsp ground cardamom
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp nutmeg

Boil all ingredients until it coats the back of your spoon. Strain. Use abpprox 1 tbsp of syrup to club soda.

We watched the movie Heartburn a few months ago. In it Meryl Streep makes a big bowl of pasta carbonara and her and Jack Nicholson eat it in bed.

I've been waiting till our room was done and cozy to do this for hubby. Plus I had to add a whole loaf of fresh sourdough.

Since we have moved I have started 2 pantry projects, my closet, the kids rooms, restoring a doll house, built in shelves, shiplap fireplace.... all on top of unpacking.

And I am sure I will start more...

I think we all want to relive our childhoods. Having littles I want them to grow up like I did. Living in a house attached to my parents gives them a great chance at that.

We are over here living it up like the 90s this summer in the midst of still unpacking. Showing them movies and music (of course Hanson) we loved, playing outside, Teddy Ruxpin, and so much fun and love.

While they were at their Dads I worked on this princess playroom/ bedroom.

My good friend helped by putting together the wardrobe and makeup table... like I always say "It takes a village.

The kiddos were super surprise. Of course it doesn't look this nice since they've been living in it lol.

I cant believe I haven't posted this yet. I am pretty proud of this project. I did have the electrician mount the media box inside the wall but I did the rest.

The shiplap came ready to go with double sided tape I just had to trim it to fit. I used liquid nails and caulk for the trim.

I am starting a series here to show you what inspires me. From Pinterest to AI to periods of time and other home decor ideas.

Here is my first one... this wall in my living room was looking pretty bare. I also wanted to put my kids ball pit there. Sometimes AI has the best ideas. I loved this reading nook idea. It took me a little bit of research to figure out the canopy but I love how it all came together.
