Neyvvantober day 6, I am back after a break and I am ready to trauma people with the song I picked (I am traumatized too)The Lovers :Upright meaning: love, union, partnership, choices, romance, balance, unityThe primary meaning is harmony, attractiveness and perfection in a relationship. The trust and the unity that the Lovers have gives each of them confidence and strength, empowering the other.Another meaning is the concept of choice: a choice between things that are opposing and mutually exclusiveIn this world, the Lovers don't simply represent romantic love but connection between others. They love deeply and sincerely and for them, communication will always be the key. Always together, the Lovers are a couple of agendered being who are more than welcomed when the Emperor and Empress argue. Revered like their peers, they have a strong connection with the City State of Narus who holds one of the most beautiful festival in their honors. Because the Lovers are this commonly loved, people with their mark are very common (not as common as the magician) and make for good mediums or air mages. Neyvvantober day 5The HierophantUpright meaning: tradition, conventionality, conformity, education, knowledgeTo see the Hierophant is to embrace the conventional, for it suggests that you have a certain desire to actually follow a process which has been well established. It is a sign that you need to conform to already existing rules and situation which are already fixed.If it was said that little to no Arcana want to bless a monarch to avoid conflict with the Emperor, nothing forbids them to call themselves protector of a country or a certain kind of people. It is the case for the Hierophant who set his eyes long ago on the country of Datraclor. With his blessings, the soil is rich, allowing the production of great wines which became the Hierophant choice of offerings. Like the High Priestress, his temples are places of knowledge and more precisely, his followers carry the mission to write down History.Datraclor is a country of intrigues heavily set on old traditions and rules such as very strict ones about magic: only the one deemed "useful to society" are sent to study magic while the others are exiled. This comes from an old story where mages tried to took the country and ruled for over a century until an uprising took the mages down. Now, Datraclor is ruled by magicless magistrates reunited in a council and the country holds the finest political schools.Among its treasures and as a trace of its History with the Hierophant, Datraclor owns the first temple dedicated to this Arcanum. Neyvvantober day 4 (I swear it is day 4, time is an illusion)The Emperor:Upright Meaning: stability, protection, authority, control, practicality, focus, disciplineThe Emperor represents a strategic thinker who sets plans that he must see through. Where the Empress's desire for her kingdom is to create happiness, the Emperor desires to foster honor and discipline. Though he is a ruler, he understands that to reign is also to serve, thus he acts rationally and according to the greater good of the kingdom.In this World, not all rulers are blessed by the Emperor and the ones who were never meant to rule but received his blessing are encouraged to become leaders instead of simple fire mages. Feeling the need to sometimes test them, the Emperor would sometimes set out wars between kingdom to see which of his monarchs is the best among them. Though he doesn't bless every monarchs, he will not take kindly that another Arcanum "dares" having the leader of a country among their followers as it was shown centuries ago with the "Great Incident". Because of his title and the importance mortals give him, the Emperor often tends to be more straightforward and louder when Arcanas meet. Though this side of him tends to annoy some of his peers, what is unanimously a plague for them is when he starts talking about his wife the Empress. Only the Lovers surpass him on that subject.An example of those rulers he made is the current king of Neyvvan, King Agathocle, bastard of the previous king, who overthrew him after a violent Civil War and climbed on the throne after eliminating all kind of competition. Day 3The Empress:Upright meaning: divine feminine, sensuality, nurturing, creativity, beauty, abundunce, natureThe Empress is sitting on a throne, she embodies Mother Nature, a goddess of fertility. The Empress brings abundance and blessings in the reading of those she meets. She is a signal to be kind to yourself.In this world, the Empress is a deity associated to harvest and as time went on and people started trading and moving to cities, she also became an Arcanum linked to financial stability within a household. Due to these changes, her domain changed and evolved, a Palace formed in the middle of the rich forest and fields that used to be her only home.Protector of women, her Order of knight-priestresses (all blessed by her mark) is known for not only assist in time of famines but also to hunt down those who armed women. Due to this location, it is suggested that it is her responsibility to serve as a mediator between the depths of the reality; she is the path between.In this world, the High Priestress is one of the Arcanum who is less likely to Curse someone with her reverse mark. Like many Arcana, she dives in the potential futures of humans so see if some are worthy of her mark. Her temples are one of the most respected and highly value balance and the poursuit of knowledge. They are often seeked for their advice. I will be trying to do some work on the TTRPG my friend @maxencebernus and I are working on.It mainly takes place in an archipelago called Neyvvan but the whole world has as deities Arcana (yes, like in the Tarot deck. He is the connecting force between heaven and earth and is represented with all the suits of the tarot.
