💫Introducing first year MA student Munaye Lichtenstein💫 @munaye_lichtenstein Munaye Lichtenstein (b.1996, London) is an artist living and working in London, currently studying for an MA in Sculpture at Slade School of Fine Art. With a materially focused practice that concerns the innate inheritances carried by objects - of use, memory, belief or damage - her sculptures reconsider, reposition or recontextualise both existing and invented forms. Utilising synthetic and malleable materials, she unsettles the expected functions of these hybrid objects, exposing their latent histories as sites where meaning can be inscribed, disrupted or re-written with an attention to, and appreciation of, their accumulated wounds.
