MENSENKIND – VINYL EDITION

For the vinyl release, blue was chosen as the central color, referencing Blue Monday and the heaviness it can carry. At the same time, it feels like a color of reflection and stillness.

The cover is made up of detailed fragments of objects and moments that make a person who they are. Pieces that together form the bigger picture.

Just like this record sounds: intimate, layered, and human.

The background visuals are taken from the film Als de wolken vallen, which was released alongside the album. Music and film come together here as one continuous story.

Inside the sleeve, thank-you notes are included for everyone who contributed to this project in any way.

As a small easter egg, the inner rim of the vinyl carries the inscription “ba-iloveu” — a hidden message, a nod of love toward acid and everything surrounding it.

This project felt complete. And to this day, I’m still proud of it.
