Hey, I love you guys❤️ I just wanted to be raw and real here, as dope and fun as these pictures look, that night I was going through some serious anxiety. I had a 2 days notice to prepare a 90 minute set which kicked the panic into gear, battling a combination of performance anxiety on top of health anxiety with some stuff I've been going through. Before the show I was having some serious muscle cramps in my hand and arms on top of the nerve damage I have in my left shoulder, I was scared with my hand cramps I wouldn't be able to spin and scratch the best I could. While all battling an anxiety attack with racing thoughts that I wasn't good enough to be sharing the stage with so many legends. If it weren't for my girlfriend and my photographer (who brought me a banana and saved me) I don't know how I'd be able to bring you guys my best. The second I stepped on stage fear flooded my body, but you guys cheered and danced and gave me the energy I needed to overcome that moment. The validation, love, and support you guys gave me after the show when I was in the crowd, especially when I was deep in my head, gave me the light I needed to realize not to take things so seriously. I suffer from overthinking which holds me back in so many aspects of my life. I wanted to make this post as a reminder not just to myself but for all of you to remember that you can do anything. ANYTHING. Block out the noise, be in the moment, chase your dreams, become who you are meant to be. Anxiety is an evil bitch, I've tried medication, self medicating, alcohol, drugs, etc. but the things that always brings me back to earth is breathing, optimism, the people I surround myself with, reminders of growth, and when the evil voices of self doubt creep in, scream over them with positive self reflection. I love you all more than you know. This community has built me up as an individual and I will always do my best to bring the community up as a collective. Connecting with you guys has been a gift I will cherish with me forever. Thank you music for saving my life.❤️👽
