It’s Time for Home Repairs for Good’s 2026 FALL REPAIR FEST
Saturday, October 24, 2026, 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Home Repairs for Good is a local nonprofit focused on providing critical home repairs for adults 62 years or older or with a disability, who own their own home, and are living in Marion County at or below 150% of the federal poverty level. We provide these repairs at no cost to the homeowners we serve so they can age in place safely.

Since Home Repairs for Good launched in 2013, we have completed more than 6,500 repairs and served nearly 2000 homeowners in need in Marion County!

Event Description: Fall Repair Fest (FRF) is Home Repairs for Good’s signature community engagement event and is designed to recruit 100+ volunteers (18yo+) from across the community to serve together over a 3-4 hour time period and provide minor exterior repairs, major yard clean up, gutter cleanings and replacements, etc. for homeowners in a targeted neighborhood area of need. No skills are needed to volunteer—just a heart to serve. FRF provides volunteers the opportunity to work alongside colleagues/friends or “new” friends from the community, walking away when they’re done seeing the tangible impact of the repairs they made and the gratitude from the homeowners they served. But it also provides the unique opportunity to see housing instability up close and to gain a better understanding of the work behind it.

This is the 6th year for Fall Repair Fest, and we are honored to have CareSource step up to serve as the Presenting Sponsor for this year’s event! We are excited to return to the northeast area neighborhoods and to again work with Edna Martin Christian Center as our lead community partner. We will kick off the event at EMCC’s Leadership and Legacy Campus with a continental breakfast so volunteers have a chance to socialize, hear remarks from community leaders and learn about their assignments before they break into work teams to tackle their projects in the surrounding neighborhoods. We anticipate 10-12 homeowners will be served during the event, addressing multiple projects per homeowner.
