My father met Jim Henson while working on Labyrinth in 1985 and then in 2025 I am very lucky to meet Brian Henson at a Labyrinth convention! What a lovely guy. Thanks so much to @thamescon for making this dream come true and for a wonderful weekend celebrating Labyrinth. @hensoncompany fans are the best. Met so many lovely people.

In 1990 I started to make my own Muppet Movie as a tribute to Jim Henson. I guess it was my way of coping with the loss too and doing something positive. I took many photos as I prepared this project and here are a couple of them. Somewhere in the attic is some video footage which I’d love to find again! With no budget I made some roller skates out of Lego for my Miss Piggy puppet and made her some legs too! This is what Muppet kids did before the internet 🤣

Feel we stepped back in time with the original Muppet Show pilot being finally available for all to see on atchive.org. This is a large wood mounted photo of @kermitthefrog and Juliet Prowse from my childhood collection. Apparently this was originally hanging in Elstree studios during the time of The Muppet Show!

My very first Miss piggy I have owned since the early 1980’s. One morning my parents said the postman had been. I rushed to the front door and among the letters dropped through the letter box was a paper bag with this Miss Piggy inside! ( The paper bag had no name or address so goodness knows how the postman knew it was for me! 😉) a memory that has stayed with me. It was such a feeling of joy.

Not sure what Miss Piggy would say about this figure but I loved it so much!

Happy 42nd Birthday to this wonderful movie! 🍿

I can remember seeing “The Muppets Take Manhattan” for the first time in 1984 at the cinema with my Dad in London. Unfortunately I had missed a screening of it with Jim Henson at that same cinema a few days earlier! That aside I was totally mesmerised by this movie, I loved the songs so much. This movie is the very first VHS I rented from my local video store. It’s also the second and third 😂

I’d like to be under the sea….from the Uk Muppet Babies Comic, June 1988. A comic I bought religiously every weekend. I always loved the incredible artwork and the covers always stood out.
