The wall of inclusion
Torino, Italy

We present our mural for Il Sacro Cuore di Gesù in Torino.
This wall is about treating and respecting everyone in the same way. No matter where you're from, how you look or what your preferences are, we are all human and should be treated as one. No exceptions.
Let's judge each other less and send out some more love into this world.

This project was made possible by Nonprofit Association NOI scgtorino APS who is doing a great job here in Torino, @scgtorino, the embassy of the Netherlands, @olandiamo, @fondazionecrt and @cittaditorino.

A big big shoutout to everyone who looked after us this week, you guys took hospitality to a whole new level! ❤ too many people to thank, you know who you are!

Honoured to see so many people at the opening of our latest mural last monday, what a blast! 🎉

Last month we worked hard on a mural in collaboration with UNyouthimpact and here is the result!

This mural is showing youngsters that took the role of change makers, superheroes!
Even though the established order claims it’s impossible or addresses issues they simple don’t want to change. This image talks to the youth to empower them to make a change as well and take action, even though it's local. If we all work together and change, the world will change!

You see 2 important and young individuals portrayed in different fields of the SDG’s who won’t take no for an answer. @satta_f_sheriff_ and @boyanslat . More power to you! 👏👏

Special thanks for making this all possible to:
Isi madojemu, Ella Riise Macleod @ella.rmac , UNyouthimpact @unyouthimpact @oneplanetnl @stroom_den_haag @museondenhaag @gemeentedenhaag @robert_den_haag @saskiabruines.

Pearl of the South, Amsterdam 2023

@muralkings was asked by the residents of this Amsterdam neighbourhood to paint a big mural right next to the Vondelpark. The idea was to get inspired by our 17th century heritage of oilpainters. Therefore the @rijksmuseum invited us for an inspiration tour. The result were 3 propals based on paintings that were present in the @rijksmuseum during our visit. The residents choose their favorite. The girl with the pearl earring by Johannes Vermeer. Ofcourse we had to do a modern twist on the painting and not just copy it.

This icon painting has been painted in a million ways now by numerous artists all of over the world. But this one is of a different size and by the vision of artist BEYOND @roelof.beyond

If you want to see the real deal and admire this famous Vermeer painting and many more gems, you have to go to The Hague and visit the beautiful @mauritshuis_museum

You can find the mural at the Amstelveenseweg 140 in Amsterdam. 13 Octobre there will be an opening between 16:00 and 18:00, all are welcome!

Big thanks to the @gemeenteamsterdam for making this happen and all residents giving support!

Delhi, India - 2022

Final mural of the year 2022!
A great collaboration between @muralkings and @laxmimanuela creating the 3rd and final wall for this cultural adventure together with @nlinindia

Another celebration mural for 75 years of friendship between India and The Netherlands.
This mural is about the modern Indian woman. She is empowered by the strength of the tiger and the force of the water. The tiger is the national animal of India and The Netherlands and India collaborate a great deal on water management. Orange is a color that comes back in both countries a lot. This is how we merged our similarities together in one mural and celebrate our friendship

The portrait by @laxmimanuela is a selfpotrait. Her ancestors are originally from India and she made full circle to come back to the motherland and collaborate with us. Read more about her story on her page.

Yes indeed, we painted Herman Brood and Rembrandt in Amsterdam! Did you know that Rembrand and his wife lived in the same street where this painting is located? How amazing is that!

Bangalore, India 2022

@muralkings teamed up with @nlinindia to celebrate the 75 years of friendship between India and the Netherlands with 3 murals all over India. This mural was created in Bangalore last week and it is called "Roar of Freedom".
Back then the lion was declared as the national animal of India. In the Netherlands the lion is often seen aswell, coming from the arms of the royal family. This "king of beasts" traditionally symbolises courage, nobility, royalty and strength and has now a prominent spot right in the heart of Bengalore.

Artwork by @muralkings
Supported by @nlinindia @nareshnarasimhan & @laxmimanuela and a big shoutout to everyone who helped out to get the job done 🙏🏼❤

Bengalore, you were great, i hope we meet again.
Next stop...Delhi!
