Experimental Czechoslovakian FOS Blue Splinter

This is probably the craziest set I own. Still can’t quite believe I pulled the trigger. Absolutely gorgeous pattern. There is one spec of green paint the size of a hole punch….. Let me know if you find it :P This is the info I was given!

This is an Experimental blue camouflage suit made for the
FOS (Federal Protective Service intended for the protection of constitutional officials of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic and for the safety of protected persons who were provided with protection under international agreements during their stay in the territory of the Czechoslovak Federal Republic.)
In 1991, only 150 sets were produced, put into service as a trial, mainly by snipers.

🇦🇹 Austrian K4 Peadot Tanker Jacket and M59 Pants

Top: 88-92 1960
Bottom: 96-100 1966

-Absolutely love these. The top completes my tanker set. It has been modified with a super quality zipper and fits just above the waist. The sleeves are a bit short but overall I am ecstatic with the fitment. The pants are so close to perfect. One small repair but otherwise stunning. From the belt to the buttons, the quality of these are just impressive. Fits like a charm and I’m excited to be able to have two complete sets now. The color just tells me that these were barely worn. Great addition to my collection and it’s thanks to @mr_blufor91 . Man has been bringing the heat and reached out for another trade. Im so glad he did as I couldn’t find any my size and he pulled it off twice. Threw in a picture of both sets together and you can really see the size difference in the tops. Now to collect more accessories to really fill these sets out. 🦆

-The earliest camouflage pattern developed by Austria was introduced in 1957, and is often referred to in English as the “pea pattern.” Although bearing some resemblance to the Erbsenmuster pattern developed by Germany during the Second World War, the Austrian pattern is only influenced by this earlier design and not based on the original German drawings. The Austrian design consists of dark maroon, mauve, and pea green dots and blotches on a pinkish-grey field.Two primary types of field uniform were produced in this pattern for the Austrian soldier, the Kampfanzug 1957 and the Kampfanzug 1959 - often referred to within the Army as K4 - as well as several styles of parka, field equipment covers, and a reversible shelter half with a “splinter” pattern printed on one side. ☘️Irish Dpm Pants and Boonie 🇮🇪

Another sick pair of pants I got from @mr_blufor91 that I picked up a while ago but felt appropriate putting it with the boonie even though I already posted them. Boonie was made by a friend for me with an absolutely gorgeous liner. So happy with it. Both fit like a dream!

The Irish DPM camouflage pattern was officially issued to military personnel in Ireland in March 2000, but had been issued to troops abroad for six months before that. Although also called DPM, the pattern has no relation to the British design of the same name. It is also sometimes mistaken for the French CE camouflage pattern, although in fact the two are quite different. The uniforms were first issued to members of the Permanent Defence Force (PDF), but in March 2002 also to the FCÁ (Reserve Forces). Irish camouflage was designed by the Belgian firm Seyntex, and is a four-color pattern with black, reddish-brown and olive green shapes on a light olive green base. Typical of the wonderful sense of humour that permeates the country, the Irish refer to their camouflage pattern affectionately as “Paddyflage.” by @murp_surp

Czech MLOK (Salamander) Parka

Found a second one for a steal. This one is a bit more worn and has stains galore but I’m not too worried about that. Very happy with this surprise pickup. I am looking looking to sell my old one if there is any interest! Pm

The Vz 60 mlok (salamander) pattern was introduced in 1960 for issue to the 22nd Airborne Brigade. The unique design consists of black, olive green and tan disruptive shapes on a pale yellow background. Surplus uniforms later found their way to the Yemen (Democratic Republic) and military forces in Palestine. -Camopedia by @murp_surp

🇺🇸 U.S Army UCP-D Set

Universal Camouflage Pattern Delta. I didn’t understand the hype until I got my hands on this. A rare/bad ass pattern that is very loved by enthusiasts! Unfortunate that its lifetime was so brief. Second time I had to make this as insta decided to delete everything.

🦅 When it was introduced the US Army claimed that the UCP would be an all-singing all-dancing pattern, providing the best possible camouflage to troops wherever on earth they might be operating. It had been designed over several years by a process using the very latest technology. However, even during its introduction the camouflage pattern was much criticised. Many of the critics claimed that the US Army would have been much better off with the US Marine Corps Pattern camouflage designs, namely MARPAT Woodland and MARPAT Desert (both of which are still in use in 2021, Ed.). In fact the author was among those critics who claimed that one camouflage pattern for all parts of the world simply would not work, and military history provides many examples to bear this out. After entering service the ACU in UCP actually distinguished itself in combat to some extent. In fact the digital camouflage pattern really worked quite well in the Iraqi cities, which consist mostly of concrete buildings, as well as in open desert in that specific theatre. However in areas with vegetation it failed to achieve the desired effect of blending the soldier into the surrounding and concealing him from detection from the human eye~ joint-forces.com by @murp_surp

Thank you @mr_blufor91 for thinking of me when selling these 💪🏻 Mans a legend! Check him out. Had a blast out at the Pima Air and Space museum with @harlow.jj. We got to ride in a couple vehicles around the desert (only 5$!!!). We will definitely go back and drive them next time!

The most interesting feature of the original (1st) pattern is a juxtaposition of inverted clusters, not readily apparent to casual observers but illustrated in detailed photographs (see below). The pattern retained the same features, with perhaps tiny changes to some of the shapes within the cluster, until it was modified at some point between 1961 and 1966. The 2nd pattern seems to have continued in production unmodified until 1976, and contains numerous minor modifications to the existing shapes, as well as a major feature insertion, consisting of a band of shapes that actually disrupted the inversion feature. Two primary types of field uniform were produced in this pattern for the Austrian soldier, the Kampfanzug 1957 and the Kampfanzug 1959 - often referred to within the Army as K4 - as well as several styles of parka, field equipment covers, and a reversible shelter half with a “splinter” pattern printed on one side. Been meaning to actually post close ups of this set and finally am getting around to it! Believe it or not this set is great for running around the desert and has great breathability. Very impressed with the over construction and every possible feature you could want. This set just drips every way you look at it! A special thanks to @harlow.jj for coming and hanging out with me all day! A few collabs on the way!

The Centre d’Entraînement aux Actions en Zone Urbaine (CENZUB), or Urban Zone Combat Training Center of the French Armed Forces was opened in 2006 in Aisne, and provides a training ground for conducting urban warfare exercises. The training cadre act as Forces Adverse (FORAD) or what we could call Opposing Forces (OPFOR) in English. These FORAD soldiers have been documented wearing two different types of camouflage, each with a blue colorway. The first is modeled on a flecktarn design, while the latter appears to be based on woodland drawings. -Camopedia by @murp_surp

Thank you so much @midscamo_ for hooking me up! Very happy to own such a classic. Officially worn until 1975, unofficially worn by reserves for a few years, worn by OPFOR well into the 1990s.

It has definitely been well loved/worn over its life and seems to have had its sleeves extended. by @murp_surp

🇨🇦 Canadian Cadpat Frontenac Top

Got this absolute stunner from one of the greats!!! @haamu_ak. Such a neat piece, bummed it doesn’t fit but insanely happy to be able to handle it.

🍁 Frontenac was one of the few lucky commercial retailers actually allowed to use genuine Cadpat fabric in these commercial uniforms that they would sell. This is to say it’s CADPAT-printed fabric that was rejected by the government for use, often due to issues like improper dye setting or IR-treatment failures, making it unfit for real operational use.
The material used was rejected by DND — i.e. it didn’t meet the spec for durability / IR / camouflage fidelity.
Later Frontenac releases especially in woodland Cadpat would stop getting any actual Cadpat fabric and be their own pretty bad fabric reproduction of Cadpat. Information from the absolute LEGEND @mr_blufor91. Thank you! by @murp_surp

Our Trip to Cave Creek Reservoir

Had a blast with the boys venturing around the desert. Got to our goal and explored around. @muffin.milsurp brought some snacks for us so we had a nice break in between. Did get attacked by an insect on the way back. Stung my eye up pretty dang good but only quickened our pace. Need to keep getting out there with @harlow.jj more often. Just what I needed before holidays. Have to say I think I blended in the best. Was a pleasure meeting a local homie @muffin.milsurp!🌵 taken in North Phoenix, Phoenix by @murp_surp
