What a weekend.

Events like this show you never stop learning.

I had such a great time catching up with old friends in the industry as well as meeting new ones too.

Competing in the brewers cup this year was a great learning experience for me. Motivation is at an all time high 😂

Now, back to work

Thanks to @boardwalkcoffee_

“Dear Elaine,

Today your son had the culinary event marking the end of his 2 years apprenticeship, 2 years marked by a lot of pressure, intense training and devotion… and most importantly, your departure. And yet, despite all of these challenges, Jason never gave up and made friends, gained experience… and kept his promise towards you, to go until the end to have his diploma.

If I can easily imagine the laughs we would have had today, the faces we would have both done, greatly impressed by the set up, staff and the incredible food his friends and him prepared. I can picture you trying to sneak to see Jason before the meal even started, but most importantly, how incredibly proud you would have been of him for this great accomplishment.

And I can tell you one thing, I am really proud of him too and I know how deeply missed you are everyday by him as your family. Thanks again for everything you gave him, us and me, be sure I will keep looking after him.

Ps: I would have loved to see your face when they brought the ice cream with bacon under!” by @murphy8052

Few pics from @ni.aeropress.comp in belfast last week. Fantastic night, met some lovely people and got to head to loads of cafes I've never been to. Can't wait for next year!

Thanks to all the organisers, judges, sponsors and the photographer for the pics! Once again, an amazing night and it was great to be with the belfast coffee community! taken in Oh Yeah Music Centre by @murphy8052

This past week I was given the opportunity to do a stage at Ashford Castle in Co Mayo.

What an experience it was. I spent half a day in the garden learning what they grow, how its produced and what it is used for. Over the week I got to experience service in each area of the castle. We even got to sit down in the George v room and enjoy a meal. A once in a lifetime experience. I'm delighted to have been able to have done this taken in Ashford Castle, Cong, County Mayo, Ireland by @murphy8052

The home setup isn't looking too bad now. Time to get a little baking setup started now 😂

I started collecting coffee bags around the time the pandemic started. Showing off some of the best coffees I came across since then. Couldn't fit as much as I liked into the pic though. Kinda ran out of space.

Here's to another couple of years doing the same thing ! taken in Killarney by @murphy8052

What an amazing weekend.. Still taking it all in. Was great to meet everyone at the irish aeropress championships. Thanks to @coffee_connect_galway for organising such a great event. The only sad part was that it had to end. Some great memories created and amazing friends made. Can't wait for the next one!

Thanks to the amazing staff at @kalicoffeebar @baristabus @coffeewerkandpress @littlelanecoffeecompany @delarestaurant @topshelfcoffeebar @calendar.coffee for keeping me caffinated inside and outside of the event and having chats with us !

If you were at the event and didn't sign the poster, I'm coming for you !! taken in Loam (restaurant) by @murphy8052
