12 Nov at Bathyscaphe MoAW presents Theo Alexander & QOW + Szymon Wójcik & Sara Flindt + La Zza Ro Address – Bathyscaphe, Rue Dieudonné Lefèvre 215, 1020 Bruxelles Doors – 7 00 pm Tickets – €14 OTD; €11 + booking fees pre-sale Theo Alexander & QOW - Ambient/Experimental/HipHop Theo Alexander & Qow first began working together during a month-long residency at a former glassworks in Prague, live recordings from which were recycled and processed to create their debut album, So Afraid to Show I Care. At once playful and disarming, their music combines distinct elements of their respective practices to form an intangible but coherent whole, covering non-verbal voice notes, growling double basses, spoken word, and tape-loop ambience. Szymon Wójcik & Sara Flindt - Contemporary / Classical / Post-Rock Their music emerges from an exploration of liminal territories of harmony, challenging linguistic conventions while breaking genre boundaries. Working with natural tuning systems (just intonation) as a structural anchor, the duo creates sound worlds that merge contemporary composition with the expressive contours of left-field pop. This approach unfolds through an intuitive, open-ended practice, allowing precisely tuned harmonies to expand into more expressive and unpredictable territories. La Zza Ro - Experimental / Electronic / Tape Recordings La Zza Ro is a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist hovering on the verge of sonic composition and Intuitive, experimental songwriting. Guided by a lasting love for poetry, tape recordings, loops, ethereal voices, raw noise, tangible textures and detuned universes, she weaves together lyrical sound worlds with a dream-like allure. Breaking and searching for structures, a song. At Music for a Whim, La Zza Ro will be presenting a new live set for grand piano, electronics and tape recordings, combining songs from her upcoming album with free improvisations. 5 Dec at @nashaz.bxl MoAW presents épong + YZ + Reptilian Expo (new live) Address – NASHAZ , Rue Picard 3, 1000 Bruxelles Doors – 7 30 pm Tickets – €10 pre-sales; €12 OTD Ticket 🖇️ in bio épong - Breakcore / Deconstructed Club / Electronic Juul J. J. Verschraegen, aka épong, is a Brussels-based artist and producer whose music transforms the world around him into an instrument. Drawing inspiration from everything from the subtle sounds of nature to broken instruments and forgotten mechanical objects, he creates a distinct sonic language that moves between industrial, experimental club, metal and avant-garde electronics. Driven by emotion rather than concepts, his work embraces rawness, intensity and vulnerability. His latest album, Eating The Ceiling, blends the raw energy of 90s breakcore with contemporary deconstructed club, it channels anger, dread, addiction and frustration into a dense, uncompromising landscape of fractured beats and epic melodies. Reconstructed from the fragments salvaged after his studio was burglarized, the album stands as an unmistakably human portrait of personal turmoil and the darker undercurrents of Brussels. YZ - Avant-pop / Autotune / Arabic YZ is a Brussels-based musician, artist, and vocalist who draws on autotuned (T)arab vocals, ghazals, and electronic music, grounded in the rhythms and textures of experimental and club music. Reptilian Expo (new live) - Fourth world / Psychedelia / Experimental Reptilian Expo is the moniker of Riccardo Patrone, based in Brussels, head of the multiform fantasy tape label Pampsychia and experienced dancefloor shapeshifter. Multifaceted selector and producer, Reptilian Expo draws electronic music that won't sit still in any one box. Woozy, ambient, hard to pin down, somewhere between deep rattling bass and a slow underwater drift. Then suddenly a delicious kick gets your body moving while everything around it still seems to be in a trance. Squeaks, warped samples and bent vocal lines wander through, never quite serious. @reptib1 @younes_zarhoni @epong_gnope @suonidisorganizzati Artwork by Andrea De Franco #hardcore #avant-pop #fourthworld #psychedelia by @music.onawhim

We are pleased to unveil the inaugural MoAW Associated Artists programme. The MoAW Associated Artists programme (Oct ‘26 -Oct ‘28)is designed to be an ongoing exchange with select artists who are developing and expanding their musical practices. It’s a space to think together, share perspectives, make connections and support each other’s trajectories across music and the wider artistic landscape. We’re very happy to introduce the first four artists - Marjolein Guldentops, Kimia Nasirian, Hoda Siahtri & Marthe Koning. All four artists move between disciplines, with music becoming an increasingly important part of their practices. We’re interested in thinking together, opening doors, making connections across the musical landscape, and bringing their work into conversations and contexts where it can resonate. Each artist brings their own worlds, communities, perspectives and ways of working into the mix. We hope that through this encounter, MoAW can also move into new territories and connect with scenes and audiences beyond the ones we are present in. #AssociatedArtists #advisor #strategy #multidisciplinary MARJOLEIN GULDENTOPS Marjolein Guldentops is a visual artist and performer based in Brussels. Originally trained in visual arts, she has developed a practice centred around language, working across performance, sound, publication and site-specific installation. Language, in both written and spoken forms, has always been an important part of her work. Over time, this has developed into an exploration of the embodied voice as a medium in its own right, treating it as a material with its own sonic and physical qualities.  In her musical practice, she explores the cadence of words, and the ways in which meaning changes through expression. In her first EP, Right Now, Right Here, Here Now, published with Zero-Desk Edition, she brings these elements together through wordplay and loops. Over the coming years, she aims to explore the expressive range of her voice and develop her approach to composition through samples, field recordings and layered vocal arrangements. She wants to build a more expansive sonic practice while moving between the roles of speaker, by @music.onawhim
TOMORROW @beursschouwburg BELGIAN PREMIERE of two exceptional percussionists - @sarathykorwar & @cinnapeyghamy on tabla and tombak respectively, whose sounds will be expanded by modular synthesisers and various FX. Rooted in improvisational practices drawn from their respective musical heritages, Korwar and Peyghamy craft an evolving dialogue between rhythm and texture. The result is a dynamic sonic landscape where acoustic tradition and electronic experimentation converge—blurring boundaries, reshaping timbre, and forging new rhythmic possibilities in real time. #percussion #fx #traditional by @music.onawhim

Her music explores themes of intimacy, yearning, Americana, and the transformation of abstract feeling into intense living through compositions that move seamlessly between the banal and the ethereal. ✨ @rossopolare is a musical project born from the collaboration between Cesare Lopopolo and Anna Vezzosi, which today presents itself as a constantly evolving group, while still centering around Lopopolo as the sole curator and driving force. With an approach rooted both in solid theoretical preparation and spontaneous creative intuition, Rosso Polare explores counter-narratives on the representation of the animal world, whose research aims to reduce the distance between human-produced music and natural bioacoustics. ✨ Canadian-born and Belgium-settled, @robmacleod_tapeloops assembles lo-fi ambient tape loops using discarded cassette tapes and repaired 1990s four-track recorders. Those analog loops are filled with field recordings and lo-fi instruments run through cheap pedals. The result is a texture perhaps best described as “friendly noise” shaped by tape imperfections, nostalgic aesthetics, and physical wear Tickets via our website 🤸 by @music.onawhim
