Gear updates for late summer/early fall of ‘26. Finally attained an amp I’ve been searching quite a while for, and at a great price no less. A real deal 1972 Peavey Super Festival F-800 (this being the “G” version for guitar with added FX, but still killer for Bass!) The Round Metal Side Handles are how you can tell this is a first year/early version, which for those in the know have the proper overdrive circuit that made these amp famous, and was later changed on later models with the plastic & metal Peavey Logo Handles. Needless to say for vintage solid state amps this thing sounds MASSIVE! And even came with the original footswitch! Which is stupid rare to have and impossible to find on its own. Gonna try and hold onto this one as long as I can, cause they are only getting more sought after. And for those who wanna call dibs on it if I ever do decide to move it along, just know there is already a line of people gunning for it already haha. . . . . #Peavey #PeaveySuperFestivalSeries #rigsofdoom #ampeg #VintageAmps Also picked some cool cheaper pieces recently, being a pretty sweet Squier P Bass that the previous owner refinished in a cool semi-flip/flop Purple/Blue finish w/matching Headstock (apparently a BMW color I believe). They also put a Fender logo on it but it’s still a Squier lol. Also came upgraded with my fav Gotoh Reverse Wound Vintage Lite Tuners. . . . . #squierbass #PrecisionBass #gotohhardware #Peavey #Ampeg I also took the liberty of redoing the electronics with CTS pots, Vintage Spec Threaded Saddle Bridge, cloth wire, and a Seymour Duncan SPB-1 pickup which sounds killer. Overall a really sweet beater bass for under $500 all in. Currently using it for Down tune stuff in Eb or D standard. . . . . #Squier #Bass #PrecisionBass #seymourduncanpickups #customrefin Lastly, I picked up a really sweet Analog Chorus I found at the GC in Wilmington DE for $70, Chinese made but built like a Tank with Decent BD Chips and Wima Caps. . . . . #imifumeipedals #Chorus #FXpedals #Analog #bucketbrigade by @musicandy997
Well gang, it’s finally here! Three years in the making, my custom @rhydeguitars 32” Medium Scale 5 String, built from the ground up. A little background on how this bass came to be. Back at the height of my time playing bass for Velvet Rouge, I was starting to incorporate the use of 5-string basses in the band both live and in the studio (case in point our song Blacklight, the first song I recorded with a 5 string with Rouge). At that point I didn’t own my own 5-string bass, but I was fortunate enough that my good friend @dakotascoolguitars lent me his Sadowski to use for as long as I needed (thanks dude). At that point I was debating about getting my own bass, and considering I had owned another Hyde bass at the time, the “RD” 32” 4-String, I figured I would have him build me a new bass, grabbing on inspiration from my favorite boutique basses, Alembic, Wal, and Ken Smith. After a couple back and forths discussing wood options and the final body shape design, we settled on what you see here, a super compact bass (seriously, it’s the same size as my EB-3 👀), that is built like a tank and is absolutely beautiful in look, feel, and tone. Strung up with @labellastrings Set up with @hipshotproducts ultralight tuners and A-Style bridge, it holds tune perfectly and is super adjustable to suite my playing tastes. As for the electronics, this beast features a killer combo of pickups and preamp, being @turner.pickups Multi Coil Humbucker (like those on the much lauded Wal Basses, and this particular set was the first production made 5-string set at the time I ordered them), and a @lusithandevices Double NFP Special Lowpass Filter preamp (similar to the ones on Wal and Alembic Basses). Needless to say it turned out incredible and was well worth the wait, even if the band I commissioned it for is no longer around 😭😝. Major kudos for Ryan on knocking this one out of the park, he really put his all into making this one a good one. I can’t wait to bring this thing out to a stage/studio and make some killer jams with it! . . . #custombass #bassguitars #oneofakind #5stringbass #mediumscalebass #lusithandevices #hipshotproducts #turnerpickups #rhydeguitars #phillymade by @musicandy997
Bucket list bass #2, another vintage @gibsonguitar I didn’t think I’d own any time soon, but fortunately this one crossed my path with a little help from good friend and Gear Addiction enabler @dakotascoolguitars Also shoutout to @rainydayvintageguitars for hooking us both up with this one 😎 This is the legendary 1961 Gibson EB-3, made famous by an equally legendary Bassist Jack Bruce of Cream. This bass combines the two flavors of Gibson bass tone I absolutely adore, Super Subby in the Neck pup, and Super Snarky/Midrange Punch from the Bridge Pup. Being a short scale it also pretty much plays itself, especially when strung up w/ @labellastrings Low Tension Flats. Of course there was a bit of a catch with how I came to acquire this instrument. It was a project with quite a nasty headstock break (last pic) with multiple previous repair attempts according to my tech. Fortunately my tech Jody who I enlisted to restore this bass worked his magic and it shows, the repair is near seamless now and unless you really examine it closely you wouldn’t be able to tell from a glance. Overall I’m stoked to own this thing and can’t wait to play it out on a stage or in a studio! . . . . . #Gibson #GibsonBass #VintageBass #VintageGibson #VintageGibsonBass #BassGear #SunshineOfYourLove #JackBruce #GibsonEB3 #LabellaStrings #HipshotHardware #Cream by @musicandy997

Here it is! The 2025 Pedal Board is officially ready to go! Decided I wanted a bit more variety and decided to got back to the Temple Audio DUO24 size after running the smaller DUO18 for a while. Also decided to try some new pedals with this setup, including two new additions from Warm Audio between the Pedal76 and the WA-C1 Chorus/Vibrato, both of which sound stellar! Also added an Afterneath for some lush verb, and a GFI Rossie Filter Pedal to really bring the funk. The OC-2 and the B3K will probably get changed out for the new Darkglass Kaamos pedal once that’s officially out, but in the meantime I should get some nice creative inspiration out of this setup. And like the last setup, this is all powered by @cioks_power_supplies_official Expect to see it live at the next upcoming @vincentmichaelmusic gig later next month! . . . . . . #BassGear #Pedals #Pedalboard #bossPedals #earthquakerdevices #Fender #Jadfreer #templeaudio #ciokspowersupply #warmaudio #ernieball #stompunderfoot #gfisystem #darkglasselectronics by @musicandy997

Been a while since I’ve made an actual post on IG, but figured I’d share the work I just finished on @joe_mac74 Gibson Les Paul. As usual this is one of those guitars from THAT era of Gibson when they made some very questionable choices in electronics (this guitar came stock with robo tuners which are already gone, and this absolutely crap PCB control board that also featured an active boost circuit with the switch in place of the bridge tone knob). At our last show at Kung Fu the active boost circuit was crapping out and having to switch out 9v on the regular to avoid this was just kinda dumb, so I did what any sensible individual would do, gutted it and made it completely passive like it should have been. Now all is right with the world, and I even kept a mini toggle in there so Joe can coil tap both pickups at the same time if he chooses. . . . . #Gibsunday #GibsonGuitat #LesPaul #Guitars #NewElectronics #TheWayItShouldBe by @musicandy997
Always an adventure when one plans a new pedalboard build, even more so when you finally connect all the pieces together! Introducing the Bass Board V2, where as before I was running just bare essentials on my mini board. But as I continued to write and produce new music with the band and perform it live this past year, my pedal selection needed a change to help bolster some new tonal inspiration. Also peep that super tidy cable management! 👀 Overall I’m super stoked that this board is finally complete, and am eager to test it out at rehearsal tonight before our big show on Saturday, which will be when I’m debuting this board live. Come see us and bask in all my Tonal Glory haha 😂. Also peep the comments to see a more detailed rundown on my build. . . . . #pedals #pedalboard #darkglasselectronics #mattoverseelectronics #mrblackpedals #wrenandcuff #bosspedals #daddario #bassgear #basspedals by @musicandy997
Don’t post many photos of myself to often, but here are some amazing solo shots that were taken at the band photo shoot a few weeks back taken by the stellar @huntercarricophotography by @musicandy997
Man last night was a killer night! First time seeing some great live music since the Pandemic with a bit of @allmanbettsband and @blackberrysmoke, who both killed it with they’re performances. Also got to finally catch up with my main man tech extraordinaire @dakotascoolguitars who’s been working with ABB on this summer tour and haven’t seen in over a year. Lastly the icing on the cake to this great evening was that I got to show off my Tractor Bass Replica to @boak03 and have it both signed by him and side by side with the genuine article that belonged to his father. Needless to say it was a blast, and I hope to see some more shows in the coming months! . . . . . #AllmanBettsBand #BlackberrySmoke #TractorBass #AllmanBrothers #LiveMusic #FridayNightHighlights #goodtimes by @musicandy997
Going full on Geddy Lee Style up in here with my @moogsynthesizers ! Loving the sound of the ol’ Little Phatty and my newly acquired Minitaur bass synth controlled by a set of old school @korgofficial midi Bass pedals. Now I just gotta practice playing bass and synth at the same time 🥴... . . . . #analogsynths #Moogsynths #littlephatty #minitaur #korg #midibasspedals #Rush #Genesis #GeddyLee #Playingsynthwithyourfeet by @musicandy997
