Last year, our city made history. Zohran Mamdani went up against a billionaire-funded, establishment-backed political dynasty— never caving on his progressive values—and won.

Mayor Mamdani became the first Muslim, democratic socialist leader of the greatest city in the world. Our district helped elect him.

Despite NY-10 turning out for Mamdani in the primary, our representative in Congress refused to endorse him. Instead, Rep. Dan Goldman followed the moderate establishment playbook—fanning the flames of Islamophobia, suggesting Mamdani made Jewish New Yorkers less safe.

In a pivotal fight between a grassroots progressive movement and a billionaire-funded sex pest’s power grab, Dan claimed he “didn’t know” who he’d vote for until the last minute. (Worth noting: Dan Goldman and Andrew Cuomo share a lot of the same billionaire donors—check out our past post!)

NY-10 delivered Mamdani a +37 point margin. A mandate. Dan Goldman? He wrote-in Zellnor Myrie.

As the primary approaches, Dan claims that his refusal to endorse is “in the past”. Well, we remember! It’s one of many reasons why Dan Goldman is out of step with this progressive movement.

📣 But we’re proud to say we were one of the first Muslim organizations in the country to stand with Chris Rabb for Congress.

🇵🇸 Rep. Rabb has shown real moral clarity: standing for Palestinian freedom, supporting an arms embargo, defending the right to protest, and fighting for working families across Philadelphia.

We stand in solidarity with the Islamic Center of San Diego, its leader Imam Taha Hassane, the staff and students at the Islamic school and the entire Muslim American community.

Houses of worship should always be places of sanctuary; not violence. This shooting happened on the first day of Dhul Hijjah, the holiest time for Muslims worldwide.

Dan Goldman is a lawyer. He understands exactly how international law and war crimes accountability are supposed to work — which makes his vote to sanction the ICC a deliberate choice to shield Israel from accountability for human rights abuses.

On November 21, 2024, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant over alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Just weeks later, on January 9, 2025—Dan Goldman joined 44 other Democrats to vote for the “Illegitimate Court Counteraction Act,” a bill designed to sanction ICC officials involved in investigating or prosecuting leaders of U.S. allies like Israel.

The bill ultimately failed in the Senate and never became law. But the vote exposed which Democrats were willing to undermine international law and accountability when it became politically inconvenient.

Now, several of those Democrats — including Goldman, Grace Meng, and Jared Moskowitz — are facing primary challengers backed by voters outraged over Gaza, AIPAC influence, and attacks on international accountability.
