Been a huge fan of @mustadflyhooks 3XL AlphaPoint hooks for my larger dries for quite a while so it makes perfect sense that I’d get around to trying their Classic Fine Dry standard version…love it…same stickiness, tiny barb, nonglare finish, and the sneaky sneaky strength I love from the 3XL…it’s not your grandad’s Mustad anymore… #flyfishing #flytying #dryflyhooks #upperpeninsula #theyooperflylife by @mustadflyhooks

School work done, time to hit the vise ✅

Nothing like getting to spend the afternoon listening to some @millhousepodcast while tying up some flies and thinking about the next chance I get to go fishing. What a way to spend the afternoon!

First fly is a bunker imitation, tied on a @mustadflyhooks CA77SAP 4/0 big game hook. Trying out some new materials to me, namely @squimpishflies Squamish hair and blend! (Loving the look)

Second fly is a mini minnow, no real reference, just letting myself get creative. Resin eyes and a hint of pink ostrich and lateral scale for flash and looks

Rattling off a few of these for the lough box. Big wet Mayfly — one of those patterns I definitely don’t want to be without! 🎣🪶 #FlyTying #LoughFishing #WetFly #Mayfly #IrishFlyFishing by @mustadflyhooks
