🧿 32 was an era. I lost two jobs. I learned how to DJ and played my first gig. I got a new car that I often wondered how I’d pay for. I won a lawsuit. I went through waves of depression. I hated my body, self image and the mere thought of being perceived. I learned natural ways to combat my PCOS/PMOS. I met new friends that I speak to daily. I reunited with family I closed off for years. I started to go to more shows. I found agency. I’ve had nights where I’ve stayed up past 24 hours just talking with friends about the universe. I’ve been so lost and desperate to find purpose. I got pushed out of my comfort zone by force and by a way of just being unapologetically myself. I learned that no matter what, I am always worth it. I’ve learned that I have an amazing heart and doing everything with love and that’s what makes me so resilient. 🧿 “33 looks good me” is the mantra by @muthermel

Working hard to make this little girl proud. She always dreamt of being a pop star like Britney. Up on stage dancing and singing to a crowd of people. She always wanted the attention of boys, the love of everyone and the princess treatment she received by giving kindness to the world. Now at 32, I realize that dream is in a different perspective. I don’t need the love and attention from everyone, just those who’s opinion I value most. My kindness to the world is still very much unconditional with values, I’ve acquired by falling and bruising my knees. This little girl has a chance of doing something bigger than she expected from this life. But the woman is me. -Muther Mel by @muthermel
