Heating on, skin tight?

As soon as the heating goes on, the skin loses moisture faster. That squeaky clean feeling after washing isn’t a sign of a job well done. It’s the first sign of a stressed skin barrier: harsh cleansers wash away the skin’s own lipids along with the dirt.

GENTLE MILK CLEANSER is our mildest cleanser, made for sensitive and dry skin. Apricot kernel oil cleanses and smooths without a greasy feel, vitamin E helps bind moisture and bisabolol calms the skin. Clean skin that still feels comfortable, even in heated rooms.

Is all hyaluronic acid the same? No, size decides. Large hyaluronic acid molecules stay on the surface: they bind water there and smooth dry lines. Fragmented hyaluronic acid is broken into shorter chains that reach the upper layers of the skin and support its moisture balance from within. Vitamin C on the label tells you almost nothing.

Pure ascorbic acid is unstable. It oxidises on contact with light and air, loses potency in the bottle and irritates skin at the concentrations most brands print on the front. The question is never whether a formula contains vitamin C — it is which form, and whether that form survives long enough to work.

VITAMIN C SERUM uses three stabilised derivatives instead of one unstable acid: 3-O-Ethylascorbic Acid, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate and Ascorbyl Glucoside. They neutralise free radicals from UV, pollution and stress, support collagen synthesis and help prevent pigment spots. Ectoin sits alongside them as a cell protectant, binding water around proteins and membranes so the skin holds up under environmental load.

Wear sun protection with it. Antioxidants and SPF are one move, not two.

Your cleanser decides how the rest of your routine works.

Healthy skin sits at a slightly acidic pH — roughly 4.5 to 5.5. That acid mantle keeps the enzymes of the horny layer working, keeps the microbiome stable and keeps pathogens out. Foaming cleansers with harsh surfactants push that pH up and strip barrier lipids along with the dirt. Skin compensates with more sebum. Dryness and breakouts at the same time.

GENTLE MILK CLEANSER is matched to a pH of 5.5. Apricot kernel oil cleanses without drying. Inulin feeds the microbiome as a prebiotic. Bisabolol and plant extracts calm micro-inflammation. The ε-Peptide-Complex® lifts dead cells, sebum and make-up enzymatically — no scrubbing needed.
