Hi, my name is Mutiat Adebayo, and I’m in the business of designing dream dresses.

For some of us who have always known this was the path to take, my journey started quite early. I started making dresses for myself and my friends in university. It was never just a hobby. This path came from passion and a knowingness from spirit.

Fashion for me is home, but there is a whole world outside the atelier that I love to explore.

Music is my escape to la la land. I love art, a voracious reader, I’m a sucker for poetry, and I have a deep love for the ocean. There is something about spending time by the ocean that brings me peace.

As a curious cat, I enjoy having deep conversations about life and spirituality, asking questions, learning new things and discovering different ways of looking at the world.

I find great pleasure in communing with my Creator, the giver of all things, and appreciating both the gift and the giver. I also find joy in connecting with my roots as an African gyal and finding ways to be of service to the world.

Building @mutteehat @shopmutteehat @official_mutteehatcouture has made me a better person.

Connecting with women from different walks of life through my work brings me so much joy. It reminds me that there is so much more to what we do than the clothes we create.

I have a dream of creating a world where girls can dream, believe in themselves and see possibilities beyond what they know today.
I know I still have a lot to learn, and I am willing to keep learning, growing and becoming the woman this vision requires

Above all, I am grateful to God for the opportunities, the journey and the gift of creation.
I’m happy to be here 🤍
