I can’t believe April is here! That means our market season is right around the corner! We have a few more fun events lined up this year including the Boulder Creek Fest over Memorial Day weekend! 🎉
-
With quite a few new following along, I thought it would be a good time to introduce the faces behind MuttRuk! 🙋🏻‍♀️ I’m Gretchen and I started this dream when I was both inspired by the dog of my 20s, Phoenix, and the lack of high quality adventure gear that catered specifically to dog lovers. It all started with the Phoenix 14L backpack and shortly after I introduced the Sidekick Hip Pack and Penny Changer Treat Pouch aiming to give us high quality and attractive gear to reach for when heading out the door with our pups. There are more pack ideas in the works and I can’t wait to bring them to life! The summer market season is my busy busy time and I am so thankful for the support my husband Adam provides. He runs his own full time business as a real estate professional and still finds time to be there right alongside me on the weekends, and often traveling days at a time. I have so much to be thankful for. From you all who have made this dream a reality, to my family and amazing friends offering support along the way. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. It’s because of you that unique small businesses are able to exist and I remind myself daily what a privilege it is to work my hardest for you all! 🧡 taken in Colorado Springs by @muttruk

It’s been a while since I’ve done an intro type post and I wanted to instead give a big shout out to my husband, Adam. MuttRuk would not be here without him. He works his tail off as an amazing realtor, and still finds the time to support my dream of MuttRuk. He is my biggest supporter, showing up for MuttRuk in so many ways. From weekend markets, to business investments, to showing up for me each and every day, to loving and spoiling our dogs, I just can’t say thank you enough. His belief in what I am capable of and what MuttRuk can be, continually inspires me. He is such an example of selfless support and encouragement and I feel like words won’t ever do justice to what he means to me! While he doesn’t ever take the limelight, he is there behind the scenes and deserves the biggest shout out! Thank you Adam for all you have done and for everything you are! 🧡 by @muttruk

I recently received a message about the water bottle pocket being the “sleeper best feature” and it seriously made my day. 😎 Did you know the Sidekick has a hidden mesh pocket? It’s perfect for a variety of water bottles or an extra place to stash toys or a leash! It comes out of the little side zipper when needed and can be tucked away when not needed!

Did you know our pup Penny inspired the Penny Changer Treat Pouch?? There was no way I couldn’t be inspired by this special girl. She definitely had some behaviors that we needed to work through (hello Aussie anxiety and Akita reactivity to barking dogs 👋🏼😆) when we adopted her and having a super simple and easy treat pouch that’s ready to go at a moments notice is always key.

Gear that will keep you ready for any adventure. ⛰️

For the first time in a couple of years, I do not have any running races ahead of me and I am really looking forward to some slower time on the trails. Do you have any fall adventures you are looking forward to?

This morning was cold enough to turn on the car heater!! Fall is creeping in quickly and it’s giving me all the hot drink vibes. I have just a few MuttRuk camp mugs left in inventory and I’m discounting them to half off to help organize! They are now just $10! So if you’re needing a handy little portable mug for your backpack or camper, this does the trick! ☕️ by @muttruk
