OUR KICKSTARTER IS LIVE!!! LINK IN BIO!
THIS IS IT! We need your help to build Strange Friend!!
We are opening a rescue dog cafe and art space in downtown Los Angeles, in partnership with @muttscouts!!
We’ve got the space and have spent the last few months doing all the mundane, invisible work it takes to get something like this off the ground - and now we need your help to make it as magical as we know it can be!
If you are able to donate to the cause, please do!! But also, PLEASE SHARE IT! Sharing the campaign is one of the biggest ways you can help us right now. If everyone who sees this shares it with one other person, it would change the course of the entire campaign.

FOSTER or ADOPT BOOP!!

This adorable 10-month-old cutie is pretty darn perfect. Boop does have a bum back leg, but don’t let that fool you—it doesn’t slow this little guy down one bit! He does need some regular medication to keep him comfortable, but it’s easy peasy and nothing difficult or pricey.

Boop is:
🐾 Great with other dogs
👧 Kid-friendly
🏡 Potty trained
🛏️ Crate trained
💕 A TOTAL love bug

He does have a bit of a prey drive, so no cats for this guy. Boop has a rough-and-tumble play style, so he’d do best with a dog who can match his enthusiasm.

Our amazingly adorable family we pulled from North Central a few weeks ago is ready for adoption! Mama Pearl is already adopted, but all of her babies are still available. They have the sweetest temperaments and are so smart. We think they’ll be under 25 lbs full grown (but obviously cannot guarantee that). They are LOVELY little things that will make a great addition to any family ready for a puppy. There are 4 girls and 1 boy. They are being fostered in San Diego. Meet Cubby.
We thought we were getting a blind puppy but Cubby has a lot more going on than just blindness.
We are hoping to raise the money for an MRI to get to the bottom of this.

The MRI will hopefully help us determine what is happening inside his brain and whether there is a condition that can be treated. We need answers before we can know what his future looks like.

After months of healing, Tilly is officially ready for adoption. Tilly’s journey has been a really emotional one for everyone involved and we want to send a huge shoutout to her 2 dedicated fosters Ann and Aynsley who have given her so much love and space to heal over the last few months. We are also so grateful to every single person, regardless of the amount, who contributed to Tilly’s care. It is not cheap to take in an ortho dog and we could not say yes without your support.

Tilly is around 10 years old and a Spaniel mix. She is blind in one eye and now a tripod. Despite all of this, she gets around wonderfully. She does well with other dogs, but we’d also love for Tilly to be the apple of her adopte’rs eye. This girl has been through SO much. The Food Crew is officially available for ADOPTION!!!

Remy joined us this weekend at our event in Venice at @goodboybobcoffee and this girl is a SWEETIE. Her personality when meeting new people is giving Golden Retriever. She loves to give kisses and is so affectionate. Remy has a few things going against her… black dogs are always overlooked, she’s 8 years old and she’s a bigger girl. It breaks our hearts because she is LOVELY. She is so energetic for her age and loves to rip around her current foster’s yard. 🖤Adopt BEAR!🖤this fluffy angel is ready for his forever home. He’s around 10 weeks old. His mom looked like a Border Collie / Cattle dog mix and his siblings look Husky so although he was the calmest of his litter, we are looking for a fun ACTIVE family for him. He is amazing with kids, other dogs, so snuggly. All around really amazing puppy. We *think* he will be around 50 lbs full grown (this is our best guess so if you have size limitations this is not the puppy for you). After more than two years, Martin finally has what we always hoped he would find: someone who understands him for who he is, a home where he feels safe, and a person who was willing to give him all the time he needed.

What a weekend! Three Mutt Scouts events across LA and San Diego and SO many people showing up for our dogs.💚

A huge THANK YOU to @sundaysareforthedogs_, @libertypublicmarket, @goodboybobcoffee, and @wearevinyljunkies for welcoming us and giving our dogs space to be seen. We’re so lucky to have businesses and organizations in our communities that support rescue.

And THANK YOU to everyone who came by to meet the dogs, learn more about fostering and adoption, buy some merch, donate, or say hi! Every bit of it means a lot to us.

Adopt Marcus!
This adorable stud muffin is around 5 months old and so ready for his very own home. He’s super smart, loves to play fetch and is already working hard and doing well with potty training. He sleeps in his crate for bedtime and already knows some basic commands like “sit” and “down”. Marcus is a sweet snuggly boy who loves to cuddle and hang out with his people. He’s both dog and kid friendly and would love a home with another playmate.
