Dear Mem❤️
Heaven has been really good to you by adding another year to your age. I’m writing this because I want to gift myself something valuable for my birthday, and nothing is more valuable than my word and commitment to myself. But I also want to share it with someone else in case you see something in it that resonates, especially if you too are a Taurean♉
Well first things first...Happy birthday to the most incredible person I know—MYSELF! As I sit down to write this letter to me, I am filled with a surge of emotions and an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Today is not just another day on the calendar; it’s a milestone in my journey—a moment to reflect, to celebrate, and to appreciate the beautiful soul that I am.
As a new birth year begins, I find myself constantly humbled by the grace I've been afforded. It's hard to fathom at times that I deserve the blessings I've received and still receiving. The one thing I'm certain of though, the Best Is Yet to Come!
It’s funny how my teenage years were a mishmash of insecurities and imperfections, telling me that am shy, invisible and not pretty. When I look in the mirror now, when I speak in public, when I wear my jeans, I only wish my teenage self could see the woman I am now, that tells the best version of me is on her way, not behind me.
Mem, I know this isn’t the life you imagined you would have. For one thing, you’re not an OAP on a radio station. It doesn’t matter if your purpose doesn’t look like anyone else. It is yours! No matter how imperfect your life is, it is yours to live. Remember this is the only life you will get, so live authentically. My Dad always says you have a martyr syndrome, meaning you like to save others. You like to be there for others, you like to give in friendships. But you should also learn to take – a superwoman needs help wearing her cape some days. Forgive yourself when you make mistakes, as you’re kind to forgive others when they fail. You deserve it. Your past should always be a place to take lessons and memories from, not one to return to by reminding yourself of regrets.
