🚨 HE'S BEEN DRAFTED! 🚨
A dream years in the making became reality Sunday as recent baseball alum Max Irving ('26) was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 18th Round (553rd Overall) of the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft! ⚾

Max put together one of the most memorable seasons in recent Montverde Academy baseball history, batting .474 with 37 hits, 12 doubles, 7 home runs, 28 RBIs, 38 runs scored, and 14 stolen bases while helping lead the Eagles to the program's first District Championship since 2023.

Being selected in the MLB Draft is an achievement few players ever experience. Max will now have the opportunity to negotiate with the Dodgers before the signing deadline. If an agreement isn't reached, he remains committed to the University of South Florida, where he can begin his collegiate career and remain eligible for a future MLB Draft.

Congratulations, Max! The entire Montverde Academy family is incredibly proud of you and can't wait to see where your journey takes you next. by @mvabaseball
