In anticipation of the Redux reissue, @andycroson and @wayneofthenorth celebrated 30 years of @djsashaofficial & @djjohndigweed Northern Exposure with a very special two-hour LIVE mix journey through three iconic compilations.

From familiar favourites to deeper gems, we dug through records, hunted down tracks across every format, and made careful re-edits in the spirit of the to original release , to compile the sounds and memories that made Northern Exposure so enduring. Revisiting some of the music that still sound as incredible today as they did then.

THE BAND WITH THE THREE STRIPES.
(Swipe for behind the scenes.)The Oasis reunion made ’25 unmistakably Live. And as the final notes of a historic tour recently faded out, I’m still buzzing to finally share a genuinely celestial project I was lucky enough to help shape.

Across the summer - and timed perfectly for the homecoming dates - IMA brought the band’s legacy into adidas’ flagship stores across Manchester and London via an ambitious, immersive retail installation.

Towering visuals. Rare, exclusive memorabilia. And at the core of each space: a glowing, globe-spinning LED sphere. A centrepiece activation that turned the stores into a full 360° dive through the band’s story.

We deployed large-scale spherical screen technology (both up to 2m in diameter that occupied most of a cargo plane) as a completely new canvas for archival storytelling. Iconic gig footage - a true treasure trove - was pulled out of the past and re-engineered for the present, creating an experience fans returned to again and again throughout a huge cultural moment.

Massive credit to the IMA team end-to-end: retail creatives who brought the environments to life, and the motion production crew I spent time with pre-testing the sphere content in a suitably secret location. A dream project, powered by the global energy and near-mythical hysteria of the band’s return, and a sharp reminder of just how far creative display technology can push storytelling in retail.

adidas Predator SS25 LDN: CRAFTED FOR GOALS

Have not shared anything work related since making Jet2 adverts in Ibiza a few years ago, but here's a recent project I'm super proud of that I wanted to share since becoming Technical Creative Director at IMA. Plus, if you are in London this weekend, it’s your last chance to check out the Interactive Goal scoring try-on experience we created as part of the adidas Predator SS25 launch activation at adidas’ London Flagship store.

Building on the success of last year’s launch, we had the pleasure of putting the most desirable goalscoring boot on the market front and centre in the space through engaging moments of storytelling and product showcasing, across both the present and illustrious past incarnations of Predator.

The campaign has performed amazingly. With thousands of consumers engaging with the gamified space across an almost three month run, playing a variety of challenges and logging their scores on live leaderboards.

It also opened up the experience as a social retail space, hosting events featuring Premier League and International stars Jermain Defoe and Theo Walcott.

A great project to bring to life with the adidas LDN team, through all the hard work put in by everyone with a fantastic final result.

The Northern Exposure Redux package from @djsashaofficial and @djjohndigweed from @latenighttalesofficial has a great, fresh identity for its 30th anniversary, but what if the original artwork had been brought to life? Re-imagining the iconic landscape shot on the cover as a fly-over also created a sonic soundscape that you could easily imagine to have featured on the North CD. As if it was coded in the image.

Monza 2021. Hamilton. Verstappen. The chicane. 🤯🏎️

With the Italian GP this weekend, I wanted to revisit a massive moment in recent F1 history, but with a twist. I used the exact same AI workflow in @figmaweave from my recent F1 edit recreation after the Dutch GP, but dialed up the flexibility using Kling and Minimax H3 for a fresh take on the cooldown room transition style with no reference material.

The goal this time? Not just replicating a result, but building a fresh seamless, flowing edit between cuts. The tech is evolving so fast, and being able to stitch these generative clips into a cohesive, fluid narrative with the stack we have at @_imaglobal changes the game into something that could easily make broadcast.

How has it been 15 years?! 19th of August 2011. Off The Rails. Sheffield, were you there?

For me, it one of the biggest sets of my life. Being able to do a full progressive warm up and hand over the decks to my biggest influence as a DJ and someone who I also got to call my friend, as that night came alive to mark the career of Matt Hardwick: The legendary Resident Transmitter.

This night was a moment for everyone to say thank you to him. Did he ever say it back for the support, signing off it absolute style.

Surrounded by friends - some that are missed today - and fans from far and wide; those captured by his sets as resident at Gatecrasher, like myself, or through his huge forum I had the pleasure of running for him that built such a great community in the UK. It broke artists, tracks and nights, like OTR, across a vibrant domestic trance scene, and built followings that would venture to new festivals like @luminosity_events and beyond. I did it for the joy of it like everything I got to work with him on - the superfan never went away.

Even after playing well beyond four hours, Matt gave us a rousing speech at the end that I’ve pulled a clip from, humble to the last.

There’s a reason why we called him ‘Sir’.

I absolutely admired that about him and how he carried his career, it was a path I wanted to follow, not just the craft of the warmup. But equally I think a part of the scene at that time was left on the dance-floor with him. The scene today still thrives, moving differently, always laser guided.

Enjoy the nostalgia: a few archive photos and videos (a lot pre-HD) and I’ll drop the recording of the sets to relive the magic. Crowd sounds, the lot which brought that atmosphere home from Sheffield.

Anecdotally, it was the first time I’d ever played on a pair of CDJ2000NXS, everything still on CD, so there was a couple of brave first time loops in my set that could have gone very wrong, but everything just aligned that night and flowed - I played my heart out for that one, because of how much it meant.

Hello feed, it’s been a while…Leeds 10K, finally, and with a PB in tow.

After living in Leeds forever by now it was time to get this one done. And, having not ran a 10K since I was in my mid-thirties, I only entered a week ago but feeling ready enough with that Marathon countdown ticking already in the background. I’ve got the time spent with @kmyrunclub to thank for that for that readiness in abundance. Such an awesome club effort today with my new found running buddies 🙌

Absolutely buzzing with my time, an 8 year-old PB topped at 51.36 and my fastest run in a long time, across my 10K and 5K distances. Pretty much on track with my Strava prediction too.

I’m no elite runner, don’t even start me on ‘zone 2’ but the improvements I’ve made - and especially after injury that stopped me from doing anything for a few months - have been really paying off. It’s pure dopa-running.

(I also shit myself because I’ve had a pinched nerve all week, I was in agony during the night, but nothing ibuprofen and “Going Forest Gump” up that last hill doesn’t fix. I wasn’t backing down.)

For your big incoming weekends, and for myself and the love of putting music out there again.

It’s a prologue with intent. Originally laid out in 2024, inspired after a recent live set i’d played, it ended up on the cutting room floor. At the time, for the first time, burnout and my own worst self-critic stopped me in my tracks putting any new mixes out. Perfectionism really can become the enemy of good.

Every new movement needs momentum to happen, and this mix is about coming back to that moment with a renewed energy and focus for the year ahead.

So whilst this mix has been waiting in the wings, it’s still a specially curated journey. From breaks through to 4/4 progressive and techno tinged cuts - some you will recognise, and hopefully some you don’t - that still sound fresh today.

Along with future new fresh mixes, there’s also going to be an audio/visual element to my content. More on that soon.
