A Little Preview of 2️⃣2️⃣ by @mvp.curlyhead

Whenever my day comes, hopefully long from now but, I wish for everyone in my life to celebrate, don’t be sad at all because my mother will be waiting for me and I can’t wait to see her again. I can’t wait to tell her about all the things I accomplished, about all the doctor’s appointments I went to all by myself and how I had to finally grow up, be there for my sisters, and be strong for myself.

🕊️May 24, 2025.🕊️ This seems to be one of those “the days are long but the years go by fast” because a whole year without my mom? Already? While hospice was a terrible thing to see my mother go through I am glad that I got the chance many don’t get, to tell her how much I loved her until the end and I’m so glad she got to spend her last days in our home surrounded by people who love her.

I keep seeing and hearing “Don’t borrow grief from the future.” I try not to but there’s soooo much she won’t be on this Earth to see me through. My college graduation, my senior night, my wedding, my children, my first big girl job. Every occasion I will look for that little red bird or a beautiful butterfly and know that you’re still with me. I hate that I missed so many moments being away at school and wherever but I know all you wanted for me was to be the best I could be in every aspect of my life and I hope I can accomplish that before I see you again. I love you forever Mom. 🕊️💕
