My favorite photo from NVR2LOW 2026... taken right as I was pulling in—I didn’t even notice it happening.
@ericzmedia has some other great photos made by my Drake, too, and I am proud and grateful that he is slowly but surely winning people over and getting noticed, and is able to step - or rather, drive - into the sizable „footsteps“ of his predecessor (and unforgettable!) Draco (R.I.P.).

Mein Lieblingsbild vom NVR2LOW 2026 … gleich bei der Einfahrt aufgenommen und ich habe es noch nicht mal mitbekommen.
@ericzmedia hat noch weitere schöne Fotos von meinem Drake gemacht und ich bin stolz und dankbar, dass er so langsam, aber sicher, gefällt und auffällt und in die nicht kleinen „Fußstapfen“ seines Vorgängers (und unvergessenen!) Draco (R.i.P) treten - oder eher fahren - kann.

Just a quick little phone snapshot at the end of the event at Tankumsee.

There was something surreal about the light. It wasn’t until evening that I learned of a very sad event—and so, this mood feels far more fitting than cheerful sunshine.

In memory of Wanda … run free … 🌈🕊️🙏.

Nur ein kleiner, schneller Handy-Schnappschuss zum Event-Ende am Tankumsee.

Das Licht hatte etwas surreales. Erst am Abend erfuhr ich von einem sehr traurigen Ereignis- und so passt diese Stimmung viel besser, als fröhlicher Sonnenschein.

On the way back... just get away from the war on the autobahn! We had already passed by here a few years ago with our previous MX-5, Draco 🧡✝️💔 and Moony 🤍✝️💔.
Naturally, we had to stop here for a few quick snapshots with Drake 🧡 and Emmi 💚, too.
I love old masonry like this.

Auf dem Rückweg ... bloss weg von dem Krieg auf der Autobahn! Hier sind wir vor einigen Jahren schon mit den Vorgängern Draco 🧡✝️💔 und Moony 🤍✝️💔 vorbei gekommen. Natürlich mussten wir für ein paar schnelle Schnappschüsse hier auch mit Drake 🧡 und Emmi 💚 anhalten.

Even though I’m not really sure who you can still reach here with photos—given that I have no time for all those jittery, flashing, frenetic Reels designed solely to copy TikTok and cater to the short attention spans of the vast majority of users—I’ve got one more for the handful of people out there today who have remained loyal to me here.
For while I believed until recently that my Drake wasn’t quite ready to compete in „Show & Shine“ events, the MAS judges clearly saw things differently: out of all the participating ND/RF models, they immediately awarded him second place... I had tears in my eyes—partly in memory of his predecessor, Draco, who was destroyed, and partly out of joy at being able to follow in his footsteps with Drake.

Auch wenn ich mir nicht ganz sicher bin, wen man hier noch mit Fotos erreichen kann – angesichts der Tatsache, dass ich keine Lust für all diese hektischen, blinkenden und zappeligen Reels habe, die nur darauf ausgelegt sind, TikTok zu kopieren und der kurzen Aufmerksamkeitsspanne der breiten Masse gerecht zu werden, habe ich heute noch etwas für die Handvoll Leute da draußen die mir hier die Treue halten.
Denn glaubte ich bis vor kurzem noch, mein Drake sei noch nicht so weit, um damit bei Show & Shine konkurrieren zu können, sah die Jury vom MAS das wohl anders: aus allen teilnehmenden ND/ RF wählte sie ihn aus dem Stand auf Platz 2 ... ich hatte Tränen in den Augen- zum einen in Gedenken an seinen zerstörten Vorgänger Draco, zum anderen vor Freude, mit Drake in dessen Fußstapfen treten zu können.

A week ago Friday at the „hottest“ MX-5-meet of the year - “Miatas at Summertime“ in the Netherlands: After a drive of a good five hours in the heat, I started having circulation issues shortly after arriving in 40°C temperatures, so we were allowed to park in the shade at the edge of the venue. I think my Drake 🐦‍🔥 liked it better there, too, than in the scorching heat right in the middle of the crowd 😎👍.

Freitag vor einer Woche beim „heissesten“ MX-5 Treffen des Jahres: „Miatas at Summertime“ in den Niederlanden - nachdem ich nach gut 5 Stunden Anfahrt in der Hitze einige Zeit nach der Ankunft bei 40 Grad Celcius Kreislaufprobleme bekam, durften wir am Rand des Geländes im Schatten parken. Ich glaube ja, meinem Drake 🐦‍🔥gefiel es da auch besser als in der Glut mittendrin 😎👍.
