Art reception @lcnaugusta displaying work from artists throughout the 2024 season @drsketchysaug a once monthly figure drawing night. I submitted 3 pieces with figures of imagined queer saints. The figures are based from model sketches I made this last year and the backgrounds are mono prints with screen print lace textures I made 10 years ago and rescued from a damaged piece.

This is one of my favorite coords, it’s so elegant and I’ve been meaning to wear it with latex opera gloves one day to better match the texture of the shoes but they are such a commitment to wear. Maybe one dayyyy

Snow Photoshoot!!!
The snow day gave me inspiration to build a fluffy winter coord! We don’t get snow very often here so this is a rare opportunity.
With this coord I was playing with texture and matching white and off white.
The case is an upcycled 70s briefcase, painted pearlescent and gold, the metal crest appliqué has a porcelain face I sculpted surrounded by freshwater pearls. The coord with the fur coat, boots, and hat was giving Maetel vibes from the Maetel Legend OVA so it felt right to include a case!

I’ve collected a few vintage furs really casually over the years, this jacket was found at a goodwill in Atlanta in 2021 for $10!

Sunday Dress Up!
While anticipating an exciting purchase from mercari Japan, I wanted to coord this Metamorphose sweater vest found last spring on depop.
Meta cross lace is forever the best lace and the tartan lends well to a uniform looking coord. I used to love wearing school uniform inspired outfits on the daily when I was a student, I think I liked the quality of construction, the sturdy fabrics, and how simultaneously gendered and ungendered uniforms felt for me to wear (never had to wear a uniform in actual school lmao)
Unpacking my own gender feelings outside of a burden of destiny, wearing uniforms does not have the same feeling as before. Owning my gender instead of projecting an archetype into myself, lots of feelings about clothes have changed the last three years.
But EGL still brings light and comfort, it still exists outside of gender, outside that expectation of destiny and burden.

Egl is eternal

Got to bring in the new year with this metamorphose suit set from 2005. The flocked fabric is absolutely amazing!

UPDATE!!!!

The jacket was found behind a couch and I am so very relieved and no longer have to imagine it abandoned in a parking lot or something 🥹😮‍💨
I feel like being dramatic is sometimes good luck lmao.

Since getting back into town I haven’t been able to find the jacket anywhere and I’m afraid it fell out of my car with a gust of wind while delivering a painting the next day 😭
It is the only thing that is missing. I am kicking myself for being so careless.

I am absolutely devastated.

To control my perspective and be less sad around the situation, I’m telling myself it was a payment to the fae who protected me from the near crash I almost experienced on I75N on NYE driving to a celebration. People drive crazy on NYE!

Still tho, I don’t think I will ever be able to replace this piece🥲 If another one ever comes up to buy, please let me know so I can buy it. Part of me will not be at rest until the set is reunited again.

Oldschool Metamorphose suit set with cross lace! This is definitely my favorite Meta suit set in my wardrobe. The video was supposed to be longer but I got interrupted lol.

Trying on the rest of my most recent Wunderwelt order, I purchased basics from Moitie, and kind of bought this gown on impulse to better justify an accessory and bloomers order.

I love pieces that have ecclesiastical inspired lace, the fact that this gown was inspired by preist vestments also really appealed to my wardrobe collection. The eyelet embroidery is beautiful. And it’s so comfy!!!

Had a reception for a current illustration show that I have several gay vampire drawings in.
Got to wear a new coord with this Metamorphose Temps de Fille coat from 2000 (I think it makes an appearance in the first Gothic Lolita Bible volume) that I’ve had for awhile but haven’t worn much.
I did do accidental Christmas with this one tho, the first person I encountered said “Merry Christmas” lmao 🥲
I recently got this skirt off lace market and it’s always super exciting to add to my Meta cross lace collection. The blouse is one of the new blouses Meta released with their old cotton cross lace. While I wasn’t sure about the collar style ( not quite oldschool) I still had to get it in white and black because of the lace.
Seriously though, if Metamorphose releases a dress with this reproduction cotton cross lace, it’s an immediate buy for me and I will be obnoxiously happy about it!

Crow Party meet coord!!!
A birthday celebration for @merry_the_alien where we are all crows trading trinkets 🐦‍⬛
Everyone brought snacks and trinkets to trade!!! I made a bunch of porcelain teeth and bones to trade (and brought some perfume samples, some rings, a diorama and kaleidoscope for trade)
I received the honor of being crowned crow royalty for the box of teeth 🦷
We all went to a local meadery after!

I got to wear this OP finally! It arrived with the lace lightly stained pink and after not having luck removing the staining, I decided to dye it black. It came out more charcoal grey, I may still try to dye it darker but I like the slight difference too.

Went to Waffles English Tea Room in Dahlonega last weekend and had a wonderful tea service!
Afterwards we visited @tearabbitstea to stock up on loose leaf teas and took some great pictures on the patio!
We walked around town for a bit too!
I wore this velveteen Innocent World OP featured in the first issue of GLB with a Metamorphose half bonnet and Meta socks I got as a favor from the AWA tea in 2016
After the meet I drove back to Athens for a show at Buvez. My partner and I got dinner after. I had to get a picture in the very silly crown royal chair lmao.

Busted out the Metamorphose business-lita suit set with cross lace on the hem for the @atl_egl summer fruits meet up three weekends ago.
This set was something I saw on Wunderwelt several years ago and regretted not buying. Last winter I got a second chance to snag it and absolve my regret, the seller was the loveliest too!
I thought the coach bag really sold the ~professional~ theme 😆
We met at Snowflake Tea House in Duluth and it was really good, I got a strawberry crepe and rose tea.
