I’ll miss you. Not a lot, just forever.

My dear corn passed march 27 2026. A part of her soul will forever be intertwined and sewn together with mine. There is very few people in the world you can stand ten toes down for and confidently say they would do the same for you. Corn was one of those for me.

20 pictures will never be able to accurately describe the warmth of her soul. Her joy is radiant. Her kindness a blanket she offered to all. Her love something so strong and pure. She held me while I cried. She cried with me. She made me laugh. We laughed together. She listened to me and gave me the honor and opportunity of listening to her.

My time spent with corn will never feel long enough. I selfishly wish I could have had a lifetime of memories. But she will never leave my heart and mind. My camera roll is filled with her smile and for that I am eternally grateful.

I see her in the flowers. The California poppy. I see her at the beach. Where we swam at windandsea. I see her in the moon. Her tattoo. I see her in her loved ones. I see her in me. Her impact forever apart of my journey.

My corn. You are eternalized in the music we listened to. In the shows we watched. The places we went. I’ll probably be missing you for longer than I knew you. I love you. My best friend. by @mxrrbl

In accordance with El Plan de Aztlan, The Raza Services 6th Annual Toy Drive has begun! Boxes have arrived and we will be announcing the various places you can drop toys off! Please help share the flyers! The Venmo on each flyer goes directly to that community. Toy distributions should be organized in every barrio and we hope that people will feel inspired to keep this going annually in each respective community. If you want to volunteer in a specific community or help host a box please let us know! Todo por la Raza!

Que viva la resistencia

To be a chicana graduating from an institution that holds such a colonial past will forever be an experience that holds complex emotions.

But it is in this institution that I have grown in my identities, more so out of survival than out of a sense of belonging.

From having someone yell “ICE for the win” at me, to me working to create spaces where we are educating and resisting those same narratives.

I have grown to learn that my presence within this institution is resistance. by @mxrrbl

I said what I said, and I would say it again.

Do not claim to stand with Chican@ people if you are not gonna speak up for them when the mic is in your hand.

Do not claim to be an HSI, if the people you are claiming to serve have continuously asked for your support and you have fallen through on your word time and time again.

Our people have worked way too hard to not be celebrated. Graduation is a celebration of past, present, and especially our future. And quite frankly some people do not want us to have a future.

But we are not going anywhere. De aquí somos y aquí nos quedamos.
