We had the best time visiting my mom on the East Coast. I can’t remember the last time I ugly cried leaving her side. In a world where many people clash with their parents, I’m grateful I can’t get enough of mine. Every day, I see more of her in myself. It’s the greatest reminder that she’s always with me.

Also, for the good of the country, more restaurants should be named after me. That is where the healing begins. by @mxvanilla92

Carlos had a question for me this past Wednesday.

This is an open field and trail we used to visit all the time when we first started dating. We take Maggie off the leash here and hide behind the same bush until she realizes we’re no longer behind her. I get really into playing this trick on Maggie—so into it that I didn’t realize he was trying to ask me one of the most important questions of our lives. by @mxvanilla92

I usually don’t do too much celebrating for my birthday. However, I set out with a goal in mind: not to hate my birthday or the days surrounding it this year. I’m always thankful for this bunch and all my loved ones. Life has been sweet.
