i’ve been to plenty of festivals, but i’m still trying to find the words for what head trip felt like. 🥹

the space. the stage. the production. sound that completely engulfed you, even from the back. everywhere you looked, people dancing, singing, completely swept up in music that has been part of our lives for years.

saturday left us heartbroken. cutting the music right before the drop and missing calvin felt criminal. getting home in the rain was a whole ordeal too. then sunday somehow gave us a lineup i still can’t believe we experienced in one night. better weather, our people, and one unforgettable moment after another.

and then swedish house mafia played one of the most epic mashups ever, and i absolutely lost my fucking mind. it’s beautiful how some songs hold so much of our lives in them. those who know, know how much i love “i wanna dance with somebody” and how much “calling” means to our rave fam. hearing one go into the other was everything. farrice sniffed out the buildup from 30 miles away, of course.

but what gets me watching this back is all of us. the looks when we realized what was coming. the jumping. the absolute joy of getting to share that moment with each other.

just pure, overwhelming, holy-shit-i’m-so-happy-to-be-alive euphoria.

we’re older now. life looks different. there’s more to carry. and for that moment, all i could feel was joy. i wish i could bottle it up and let everyone feel it.

part of me wants head trip to happen again. another part understands the “you just had to be there” and wonders how you could ever recreate this exact feeling.

i’m just so grateful we were there. that we still get to find each other in a crowd, sing our hearts out, and make memories we’ll talk about for years.

maybe moments like this heal a little part of our inner child too. giving ourselves permission to jump, scream, dance, and feel joy without holding any of it back.

i hope we never decide we’re too old for that. go with your people. make the memory. let the younger you come out and play. whatever your version of this is, make room for it.

because it’s not a phase, mom.

not the music.
not the friendships.
not the annual pilgrimage to the mesa.

somehow what started as a few friends chasing sunrises and set times turned into this.

proposals.
weddings.
babies.
careers.
upcoming DJs.
mortgages.
gray hairs.
and somehow we’re all still finding our way back to the same place every year.

11 years later, the music still hits.
the reunions still feel like home.
and the people standing next to us have become family.

every year looks a little different than the last. we’ve grown up. we’ve evolved. some of us are celebrating new chapters. some of us are healing from hard seasons.

but the thing that keeps bringing us back isn’t the festival.

it’s each other.

to my rave family, thank you for another year of PLUR, memories, laughs, chaos, injuries, late-night heart-to-hearts, and reminders of why we keep doing this. and thank you for ALWAYS showing up with our dress up themes!

because it was never just a phase.

and after all this time, i’m still into you.

EDC season 11 recap:

• RV problems before (and after) the trip
• so. much. blood.
• TWO baby announcements
• birthday celebrations
• minion takeover
• beer pong championships
• emotional support DJs

…and that’s not even all of it lol

renewed for another season 💥

yet somehow, between all the chaos, this annual pilgrimage to the mesa turns into some of my favorite memories with some of my favorite people. at this point, we might as well have our own reality show 🤪 taken in Camp EDC by @my.bpm

Our second year RV camping and it was nothing short of cinema - from scenes stretching from stressful situations to surprise celebrations, our squad rolled 7 RVs & ~40 people deep, with a handful of camp newcomers (and first time EDCLV headliners( and plenty of vets (10+ EDCs for some)!

So grateful that rave fams exist to take care of each other, embrace our differences from tastes in music to paths of life, and experience both challenges and milestones each and every year. It’s what keeps me coming back HOME under the electric sky. 🎇 Love y’all and see y’all next year! 🫡

List of top Camp EDCLV ‘26 moments:
1. My favorite b2b2b all weekend: Ros & Os b2b Randi & Kev baby announcement/gender reveal x Jeremiah’s bday celly 👶🏻🎉
2. Went from 2 DJs to 12 DJs, all with diverse styles and genres played at our renegade DJ sets at the RV compound all weekend 🎚️🎛️
3. Overcoming all the odds from last minute bail outs, to injuries/health scares, to maintenance needs, and everything in-between 🫂
4. Somehow made it past sunrise all 4 days, even surviving long enough to actually go to the Thursday pre-party, a pool party, and the last afters in the mesa 🌅
5. Did not get mistaken for RJ 🤣 …did get called just Jay though 🤷🏻‍♂️

this one felt really special.

music has always been something farrice and i both loved. we were going to shows and music festivals long before we even met, and it became such a big part of our relationship as we grew together.

so getting to share this part of our world with JJ now feels even more meaningful.

shelter is one of our favorite songs. i walked down the aisle to it, and farrice always thought he’d have to wait until JJ was 18 to bring him to edc and hear it live with him.

singing along with JJ on our shoulders felt like one of those little full circle moments i’ll never forget.

somehow the music keeps carrying us through every version of life 🎵💗

some favorite snapshots from a weekend i wasn’t sure i even wanted to go to… and now never want to forget 😍

coachella looked a little different for us this year, slower, sweeter, stroller and all.

core memory for sure.

and proof that a wagon counts as festival vip seating.

so grateful for this group too, for embracing JJ all weekend, looking out for him. bonding over breakfast, shots, breakfast shots, the biebs, and taco bell! and helping make this whole experience so special and memorable for us 🙏🏼🫶🏼 by @my.bpm

toddlerchella was not on my 2026 bingo card, but here we are lol

we’ve been to coachella so many times over the years, and somewhere along the way it kind of lost its magic for us.

too hot, too dusty, too many people there just to say they were there.

so coming back this year was really just for laarni’s birthday. and when my mom got sick two days before the festival, bringing JJ with us ended up being the easier option.

what i didn’t expect was for it to turn into one of my favorite festival experiences we’ve ever had.

music festivals have always been such a big part of me and farrice’s story. even when i was pregnant, JJ was already along for the ride, going to five multi day festivals in the womb, and another before he even turned one. so getting to share this part of our world with him felt really special.

it was JJchella in real life, and he was such a little rockstar all weekend. dancing all day and sleeping all night.

and somehow, ironically, it was coachella of all places that gave that back to us.

the desert always calls us back…
and this time, i think it healed something in me too 🥹🥰 by @my.bpm

POV: chicago comes to visit LA

sometimes you don’t realize how much you need to slow down until you actually do

march felt a little chaotic behind the scenes. a lot going on, a lot to figure out, and not a lot of time to pause

so last week ended up being exactly what we needed

showing our friends around our city, trying new food spots, disney days, canyon drives, and just being present

but the best part was getting to share a piece of our life with them that means so much to us

their first rave, the music, the energy, the feeling. watching it all click for them was honestly magic

just one of those weeks that reminded me how important it is to reconnect…
