I’m so proud to finally announce my commitment to Rainy River Softball. This game has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and it’s hard to even put into words what this moment means to me. There were so many times I questioned myself, so many hard practices, tough losses, and moments where I felt exhausted mentally and physically but I never stopped loving this sport. Every challenge made me stronger and pushed me to keep going, even when it wasn’t easy.

Niles High School will always be home. The memories I’ve made there, the friendships I’ve built, and the lessons I’ve learned have shaped me into who I am today. To my parents — thank you for every sacrifice, every ride, every late night talk, and for believing in me on the days I didn’t believe in myself. To my coaches — thank you for pushing me beyond my limits and helping me see my potential. And to my teammates — thank you for being my second family.

i truly don’t know where to start besides a huge thank you to midwest pride hedges. this is one of the hardest things i’ve had to be done with. for the past 14 years this has been the only thing i have ever known and i wouldn’t have wanted to end it with any other team.

to the coaches- thank you for always having more faith in me than i had in myself. always making sure i pick my head back up after every mistake i made. the support system is absolutely amazing. the confidence you had in me this season has been the best thing i have ever experienced.

to my teammates- i love you guys more than anything. i wouldn’t have wanted to end my final year any differently. the bonds, laughs, the dad jokes in the dugout will always be my favorite memory. and we can never forget the 3 time ITB. i’m so proud of you all.

to my mom- i genuinely couldn’t thank you enough for all the late night drives, early mornings, money spent. you’ve been my biggest fan since day 1. i wouldn’t have ever gotten as far as i have if it wasn’t for you. i love you forever. by @mya.first
