Releasing our babies! 5 released today which makes a total of 6! I’m sure at this rate, by the end of the year I’ll be in the triple digits - it’s highly addictive 😅🐛🦋 featuring a sneaky crossaint grab by Neo 😅 #monarchs #monarchbutterflies #naturekids #insects #releasingbutterflies by @mybackyardpatch

*Update - painting 2 is sold* My newest paintings that I am so incredibly proud of. Not just for the way they look but for the way I painted them. I let the paint just be paint, stopped fussing and perfecting every little stroke and just relaxed more and enjoyed the process. I think it shows in the brushwork. Available to purchase - can ship to Australia or NZ. 30x30cm ready to hang in an olive green pine frame. DM for info

Family time mixed with some moments for art, chickens and nature. A lot like home just took a really really really loud flight and drive first thanks to the Gremlin child 😅 #travel #family #kids #chickens #art by @mybackyardpatch

Big sprouting broccoli harvest! Lucky the kids won’t be fighting over them 😅

Kaiden copped a face full of fennel fronds 😅 I love brushing my hands through the leaves when I’m outside. Definitely let this one go a bit too long but once I peeled back the outer edges it was perfect inside

Fennel! Picked this morning and roasted for lunch with a salad - it was so good. I grew it originally to make fennel tea but don’t even know where to start with that so throwing it in a pan was much easier 😅

Somehow this chunky, cheeky, chill little cherub (did not mean to say so many ch words but they all describe Kaiden PERFECTLY) is THREE!!! (His birthday is the 8th but we do weekend birthdays these days) Kaiden is the most beautiful soul I have ever met he is so kind, empathetic and calm. I couldn’t have been humbled any more when wild Neo came along 😅 I can’t believe how fast Kaiden has grown and I just adore everything about him. His sweet voice, his sense of humour (he makes me laugh so much and does the funniest voices) his appreciation of crackers and dip with a side of pickles or grapes, his love for Sage and Neo, and just everything he is. Happy birthday sweet boy. You are so so loved and you just radiate so much joy ❤️ by @mybackyardpatch

Some art I’ve been making lately. It’s been so good to do something I love during these very busy mum days. I sold 3 of the mini NZ landscapes and the magpies are also for sale. In a world that’s full of creative copycats and AI I think it’s really important to get behind creators 🎨 everyone deserves support, don’t get me wrong, but I think us mums who are doing stuff on the side to try save our sanity, deserve a serious squad of cheerleaders 😅

Been a month between posts - oops. Another winter bug has been and gone, more teeth on the way, some very bad sleep, but gorgeous weather, beautiful kids, our first eggs and baby lambies!
