KISMET. AN ISLAND HOME DECORATED BY @mycamelot_ IN A VINTAGE STYLE THAT SITS SO WELL IN ITS TROPICAL SETTING.

The original 1960s character was retained, My Camelot’s signature art-forward style was central and comfort and touches of holiday luxe were added wherever possible.

LOVE THAT MY PERSONAL AESTHETIC FAVOURS WHAT I CALL JUNK.

It creates a visual as well as financial high/low that really works for me.

Whether it be vintage, antiques, bits and bobs brought back from trips or things I had to have at a junk shop, it is what I love and means I can put more money into some of the pricier things I want for my home while loving the overall look.

Looking at this lampshade in my office that I bought for $2 at an op shop just reminded of that.

Any other junk lovers out there?

LOVE MY NEW CUSHION!

I ‘needed’ to have some Chiang Mai Dragon fabric by @schumacher in my life and this cushion was it.

So many gorgeous fabric favourites, not enough spots in my house…

LOVE HOW THE MORNING SUN HITS THIS WALL COLOUR AND LIGHTS UP THE ROOM.

It’s Can Can by Bristol paints and it makes the room.

LOVE THIS LITTLE BOOKSHELF.

No colour coding, books are mostly vertical and accessible, some are stuffed in.

Just how I like it.

LOVE THIS PLATE WALL IN MY KITCHEN.

Every day it reminds me of the little junk shops that I found each treasure in.

LOVE THIS CLOSEUP OF MY KITCHEN DRESSER CHOCK FULL OF THINGS I LOVE.

I am not interested in styling per se, just extra storage in my kitchen and eyefuls of joy every time I see all my ‘things’.

All my favourite kitchens have a dresser.
