Custom system developed for @menu_extra ‘s Effervescence at the Chapelle des Franciscains, Montreal.

A modular aluminum MTM configuration designed for spatial flexibility capable of operating as a double-stacked stereo system or deployed as individual units within a quadraphonic setup.

The wave guides are formed from a rolled 0.125” aluminum sheet, paired with dual 6.5” woofers. Each unit is fully DSP-controlled and powered via an integrated rear amplification module, allowing precise tuning across contexts.

Custom system built for a room that needs to move air.

15” paper cone pro woofer paired with a custom made wave guided 44mm compression driver for the top end, 102dB and 111dB sensitivity respectively.

Aluminum baffle, high-output pro components, engineered for extended low-end and high SPL this one’s built to work, not just to look good doing it.

Close up to the custom suspended bracing developed for the EK1 quadraphonic configuration shown as part of Aluma during Milan’s Design Week 2026.

Each aluminum brace was pre-oxidized before assembly using soaked and wrinkled sheet techniques, creating irregular and textured oxidation patterns across the external surfaces. The EK1’s thick layered glaze follows the same raw and unpredictable approach, embracing chance and material reaction to produce unique textures throughout the system.

Following hand-oxidizing experiments, the process evolved into shrink-wrapping the aluminum. The oxidation naturally followed the creases of the film, generating rippled and randomized surface patterns unique to each piece.

MYCOAUDIO and LESORR present Aluma, an audio room focused on oxidation and uniformity.

The installation brings together works from their permanent collection, reworked through processes of oxidation. Materials and sounds are altered, introducing shifts in tone, texture, and structure. What appears consistent at first begins to show variation over time.
Aluma looks at how change happens within controlled systems, how repetition breaks down, and how subtle differences emerge through exposure and transformation.

Suspended quadraphonic custom sound system for @yakitori_hibahihi - integrating a 2 way inverted horn loaded tweeter and a 12in woofer tuned as low as 32hz for a suiting bass. We accompanied this ported box with a completely custom glaze for the multicell horns and are truly happy on how this one turned out visually and sonically.

This system is brought to life in one of the only and best authentic Yakitori restaurant in Quebec. While in Montreal, go there and try the amazing food cooked by chef @therealhiroshi with as always amazing sound & vibrations.
