This little guy probably has no idea how much he has done for me.

The last few months haven’t been easy. Rehab, pain, being stuck at home and some properly low days. And through all of it, Bongo has been there.

The heavy hugs in the morning, coming under the covers, the kisses, the snuggles. Sitting with me in the garden giving me those looks only he can give. Some days, he was genuinely the reason I got myself outside and sat in the sun for a bit.

We’ve had a strange little life together lately, me and him. Two Italians trying to keep the life together 🤌🏼😂

But when everything else felt uncertain, having him next to me was something I could count on.

He honestly helped me more than he’ll ever understand.

Budapest

•Eastern Imperial Eagle, sadly kept in captivity.

•Myself on the Szechenyi Chain Bridge.

•The only fisherman we saw fishing in the Danube; in the background the Buda Castle.

From our Tangalooma adventure last month.
We explored, got wet, saw birds, mushrooms, sharks, more mushrooms and laughed, a lot 🥹.

•Mount Collon - Arolla Valley
In the past month me and @kincsojozsa visited my brother in the Swiss Alps.
Even tho the weather was much colder than expected, we adventured on a few hikes through the Arolla Valley.

•Swiss cheese
Where there is an Italian there is cheese, and in fact all our breaks included some cheese meal.

• The climb
We also adventured on a Via Ferrata, a vertical climb with safety wires already in place; which I wouldn’t call difficult but the height of the alps can be a little disturbing if not used to it. taken in Arolla, Swiss by @mycol.cava

Fact of the day: Fraser Island (named K’gari by the aboriginal people) is the largest sand Island in the world.

Daintre Forest - 1880 km north.
3220 km total till here.

Cool Facts:

This forest 180 million years old. 10 million years older than the Amazon. Making it the oldest forest on earth.

The Curtain Fig Tree - 1760 km north.
Is one of the largest in north tropical Queensland and a bad ass of a tree. Like seriously just look at it! taken in Daintree, Queensland by @mycol.cava

More than a year since I posted a portrait here.

Feels good to come back to it. To colours, faces, moments, and simply doing more of the things I love.

And I love these portraits of Valentina.

There’s something in them that makes me want to go out there. Travel, meet people, experience things, get a little lost.

And now she’s about to jump on a boat and head to India

I think that feeling is exactly why I wanted to photograph her.
