My Cousins’ Studio is opening its doors to new members. 🗝️
We’re looking for four new creatives to join our Dumbo-based, fully production-ready photography studio.

My Cousin’s Studio is a home for artists.
A lab for experimentation. A space built by Black queer and trans folks for the community. 
We’re opening:
✨ TWO “First Cousins” (Full memberships) — $300/month
* Unlimited studio access + 24-hour building entry.
* For image makers who need consistent, reliable space to create.

✨ TWO “Second Cousins” (Equity Memberships) — $150/month + weekly volunteer time
* For creatives who have the ideas but might lack the means, invest in the space through care work and be part of maintaining what we’re building.

If you’re looking for more than just four walls and a backdrop — if you want a studio that feels intentional, collaborative, and values-aligned.
This might be for you.

My Cousins’ Studio is offering eight hours of free studio time to four creatives— photographers, stylists, makeup artists, and other Black queer & trans creatives who need access to space and equipment to bring their creative vision to life.

Calling all Black queer and trans photographers and image makers!

We invite you to join Photo Therapy – a safe space for us to gather (for now, over Zoom) to connect and dive deep into our photographic and videographic processes hosted by @mycousinsstudio members @alexwebsterphoto, @malikdupree, @nerdscarf, @itssalemsstories, @autumnlxve, and @iamnijai.

Each month, we’ll come together to explore what fuels our passion for image making, share our fears and anxieties in the creative process, and celebrate the moments that affirm our passion to create.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, this is a place where your voice matters. We’ll discuss a range of topics, from creative inspiration, to overcoming creative blocks, and everything in between. There’s no pressure here, just supportive vibes and meaningful conversation and connection.

Our discussions will evolve with each gathering, laying the groundwork for in-person sessions where we can put our ideas into action. So come as you are, bring your passion, and let’s build together.

Our first meet-up will be VIRTUAL and is happening April 28 at 11am at a Zoom link to be provided upon RSVP!
