Provo Art Stroll was so fun! Thank you so much to everyone who made it out to my show at Mozz, it made it so special for me and I’ll never forget it 🥰 If you missed it the show will be up until 8/23. 💖

(I forgot to get stills of the acrylic sculpture in the center of the room 🙈 hopefully the video shows it well enough)

I would love to know, which piece is your favorite? 💖 taken in Mozz Artisan Pizza by @mydearmalarkey

Lol don’t swipe unless you promise to ignore my concentration face in the video 😂

Adventures in glass blowing! This year Blaine & I got to take a class at @holdmanstudios in Thanksgiving Point and it was so fun!

I was most surprised by how HOT it was in there! I knew molten glass was hot but WHEW it’s a different thing to actually spend time in a room full of furnaces 😂 made me almost miss Phoenix. Almost.

Medium: glass blowing

What started out as documentation of a piece quickly morphed through the lens into a new work of its own. This process was so much more fun than I thought it would be, I want to keep pushing this forward and see where it leads me.

Thank you @dragonfly733 for the amazing modeling and for being such a delight. It was so fun hanging out with you! taken in Skrspace.slc by @mydearmalarkey

So happy with how this ticket lamp turned out, and it looks so good in its new home! ❤️ hand sewn using real order tickets from customers 🍕 every ticket symbolizes the labor & craft that go into cooking each order. taken in Provo, Utah by @mydearmalarkey

I found this illustration and wanted to use it for something, this time experimenting with thread and water. It was so interesting to watch the paper as it absorbed the water, and tearing out strategic sections of the water-logged material was different from what I expected. I had thought the paper would dissolve in places on its own if left soaking in water, but since this paper was fabric-like and coated with some sort of finish, it instead treated the seams like perforations which allowed me to remove entire sections instead of random dissolving. I do still want to try this with a different kind of paper, maybe something thinner like standard printer stock or even newsprint. by @mydearmalarkey

This piece is an ongoing experiment in balancing the unassuming weight of paper and fiber with the conceptual and symbolic weight of the cane from which they suspend.

This piece was inspired by the fluid dance of burning incense, which has always captivated me. The smoke moves almost like frost curling in an arctic breeze (which I could desperately use in this heat rn 🥵☀️)
