It took me so long to realize the trance I’ve been under the past few years. Incredibly hard on myself, character flaws I didn’t know I had, personality traits that don’t resonate. Wondering where these complexes stemmed from. I’m fully realizing at the ripe age of 22 that the moment you open certain doors, you are signing a contract with fine print. The fine print containing information about what’s behind that door, describing how you’re about to lose apart of yourself to fit into this new space. Adapting to newness, a sense of unaware bliss. You inadvertently become this space, and if you’re not strong enough it will consume you, until you no longer know who YOU are, just what you’ve become. Here I am now, remembering to remember. Filling myself back up with all that was lost and forgotten. I can’t believe the world turned me so cold, put so much fear in my heart.. and I let it, I let them. I let them help me believe I was the problem, that I’m ‘nonchalant’, lacking emotions, that I’m short tempered.. as if patience isn’t one of my strong suits. I let them tell me somethings wrong without direction. And i believed every single thing, let the energies suck me dry until there was nothing of me left other than confusion and pain. Those days are over tho I promise you that, I’m about to become a fucking beast 🪖 by @mygloarchives

Ended up watching several videos and documentaries today, going down insane rabbit holes. Videos covering taboo realities, and real stories, horrific stories at that. People coming from all walks of life. After watching over 10 long videos within the span of about 3hrs, I found myself eventually brought to tears. Feeling an indescribable amount of empathy and emptiness at the same time. Wondering why I’m feeling these intense emotions, despite obviously watching uncomfortable content. Wondering what is the missing piece that is observed across all videos/stories. The answer is within the question. The answer is love and the lack thereof, that lack shows up differently for everyone yet I notice, humans at core crave one thing, that thing is love. We crave deep interpersonal connections, we crave intimacy, depth, understanding, we want to be seen.. felt. At times that love is deprived, drained, depleted, often times fleeting. We don’t have our mothers, we don’t have our fathers, we come from broken families. We spend majority of our lives chasing that high, that safety net, that comfort. For some those days never come, now emotions of anger, resentment, and fear come to play. You now have irreversible damage that only ‘you’ and God can swift through.. Still slightly speechless but I think what I’m trying to say is follow the teachings of prophet Jesus Christ, love yourself, love God & love thy neighbor. We’ve got drug and substance abuse corrupting the mind, body, and spirit. Dysfunction starting at childhood, gang affiliation and violence. Emotional and physical trauma within partnerships. Death/loss left and right. Constantly chasing that high, that never satisfies. You ask an individual why they are the way they are, what makes them carry themselves in that way. You’re met with a story, we all have one. Please remind yourself that your story is a PART of you but not all of you, don’t attach. Don’t identify with the pain, feel the pain, identity the emotions, the triggers, the stories.. and then let it go. Pour into yourself and pour divine love into the world 🌎.
