Molting, moving or just stressed? Here's what I add to my flock's water. 💧

Flock I.V. packs 13 essential nutrients into one scoop: electrolytes for hydration, probiotics and enzymes for the gut, and vitamins A, D3 and E for the bounce-back.

We had it formulated by an animal nutritionist, with no fillers. Every ingredient has a job.

It's for chickens, ducks and turkeys of all ages. Mix one scoop per gallon, and keep fresh water and grit out too.

This is what goes in my flock's water when heat, stress, molt or travel knocks them off balance. 💧

Flock I.V. is our newest release, and it's beyond electrolytes. It's built for recovery. I mix one scoop per gallon.

Four electrolytes get my girls back to the waterer. Three probiotics plus enzymes support their gut. Six recovery nutrients help with the bounce-back that electrolytes alone don't cover.

It works for chickens, ducks and turkeys, chicks through adults. If a bird is sick, call your vet first.

Meet the Chantecler, one of the most cold-hardy chicken breeds out there. ❄️🐔

Bred in Quebec for brutal Canadian winters, she has a tiny cushion comb and small wattles, so there's less to frostbite. She keeps laying brown eggs when other breeds slow down.

Winter is hard on any flock, though. Immuni-Guard's garlic and oregano support healthy immune function, and its prebiotics and probiotics support healthy digestion. Good for all life stages.

3 of the best chicken breeds for a backyard flock. 🐔

Australorp: glossy black, calm, and a laying legend. An Australorp hen set a record of 364 eggs in 365 days.
Rhode Island Red: tough, adaptable, and a steady brown-egg layer through almost anything.
Buff Orpington: the golden sweetheart of the coop. Gentle, cold-hardy, and great with kids.

Which one is ruling your run? 👇

Chickens not laying eggs? Five reasons, and most of them are normal. 🥚

1. Shorter days. Under 12 hours of light, laying slows. October days shrink fast.
2. Molt. She's rebuilding a full coat of feathers for winter. Laying pauses.
3. Age. Production naturally drops as hens get older.
4. Stress. Temperature swings, predators, flock changes.
5. Nutrition. About 4 grams of calcium a day. Layer feed plus oyster shell in its own dish.

Is it a problem? Usually, no. She's on break.

While she regrows, feed the rebuild. Omega Booster's mealworms and sunflower support feather health, and chia and flax promote omega-rich eggs.

Should you add a light to the coop? Honest answer: it's a choice, not a rule. 💡

Laying runs on day length. Under 12 hours most hens slow down. With 14–16 hours they keep going through winter.

If you add one: mornings only, on a timer, stretch the day a little each week. 16 hours total is the ceiling.

If you don't: she takes her natural winter break and picks back up as days get longer. Also fine.

Either way, feed the rebuild. Omega Booster's mealworms and sunflower support feather health, and chia and flax promote omega-rich eggs. A supplement, not a replacement for layer feed.
