In the past year, everything changed. I went abroad and suddenly I was not just in a new country, I was in a new version of myself — the one I never thought I had the courage to be.
I did things I never imagined myself doing, things that once felt too big, too far, too much for a girl like me. I cried, I got lost, I figured it out on my own, and somewhere in between, I stopped doubting myself.

abroad, new me, changed, growth, brave, alone but not lonely, doing the impossible, becoming, healing, freedom, far from home, found myself, one year later, imperfect journey taken in Switzerland by @myimperfectwords

I stood there watching this massive cliff and a thin stream of water turning into something so powerful.

We wait so much in life - for healing, for answers, for the right time. And while we wait, we think nothing is happening. But just like this waterfall, patience is quietly preparing you for your moment to flow.

If you are in your waiting season right now, this is your reminder: your time will come, and it will be beautiful. Keep flowing.

Everyone talks about healing.
No one tells you it sometimes looks like this -
a train, a window, a river running beside you,
and autumn reminding you that it’s okay to move slowly.

I think I finally get it. Peace isn’t found, it’s built. Somewhere in the mountains, with a tiny house and no WiFi. 🤍

Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting. It means you choose happiness over history.
