Miriam Lipsker of Chabad at Emory University makes a powerful point: her job isn’t to fight anti-semites, but to build stronger Jews.

The future of our people won’t be secured by fighting irrational hatred alone—but by building vibrant Jewish life.

We fight against those who want to see us disappear by being more Jewish than ever. by @myjli

Yehuda Becher was 24. Days before October 7, a friend asked Yehuda to send him some positive energy. Yehuda answered with this video, singing words from the Jewish morning blessings with his whole heart: "My G‑d, the soul You placed within me is pure. You created it, You formed it, You breathed it into me. You guard it within me, and one day, You will take it from me."

Days later, he was shot while trying to escape the Nova festival by car. He was one of more than 360 people murdered at Nova, and one of 1,200 murdered across Israel that day.

In his memory, may we live every day in gratitude to G‑d for each moment we still have with the people we love. by @myjli

Three years…

October 7, 2023, was the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust.

It is a date that will remain etched into the hearts and minds of our people for all time. The profound pain it brought, the families who will never have closure. The children who lost loved ones and, with them, their innocence, the trauma that lingers, left a wound in our spirit that will never fully heal. And in its wake came a surge of antisemitism around the world.

Yet history will also remember October 7 as a new beginning. With the pain came an outpouring of Jewish pride, joy, and resilience.

Throughout the generations, we have faced dark times. But no enemy has ever succeeded in extinguishing the flame of the Jewish spirit. They sought to break us. Instead, the pain has only made us stronger.

Now more than ever, we must stand up against hate and embrace who we are, without fear.

In memory of the lives lost, we proclaim loudly and proudly before the world: Am Yisrael Chai.

After all we have been through, the Jewish people are still here. And we will remain forever.

May the memories of all the victims, and of those who have fallen since, be a blessing. by @myjli

Like a flame that keeps rising no matter which way you turn the candle, the Jewish spirit keeps rising. They can try to break us, but they can never extinguish the spark within. We are a miracle. And our flame will rise forever.

The date Hamas chose for October 7th wasn't random. And it reveals something about us they never understood.
Tonight marks three years on the Jewish calendar. As we dance with the Torah and celebrate who we are, the next chapter of the greatest story in human history is in our hands.

We hold the pain. But we never let go of our joy, because losing joy in who we are would be another victory in their hands.

When we remember who we are, we only grow stronger and more connected. And that makes us unstoppable.

This Simchat Torah, dance your heart out in celebration of the gift of your Jewish identity. Chag Sameach!

This year, Shemini Atzeret begins before sunset on Friday, October 2. It is immediately followed by Simchat Torah, which begins after nightfall on Saturday, October 3, and ends after nightfall on Sunday, October 4. by @myjli

Some miracles become more astonishing the more we understand them.

Just a few people, in the right place, at the right moment. Yet step back and count how many things could have gone wrong, how many times this flight came within seconds of catastrophe, and the story defies explanation.

It's clear that we witnessed one of the great miracles of our time, another link in the long chain of the miraculous Jewish story. G‑d placed ordinary people exactly where they were needed and gave them the courage to stand up. Through them, every passenger came home.

Thank G‑d for this extraordinary Sukkot miracle. by @myjli
