Yesterday I was able to introduce 2 sets of dear friends who have become the world to me. Myke and Hillary because when I was looking and needed community Myke invited me to work at his Pizza Shop in downtown Mesa.

Jayson and Emily are my neighbors who I met while tending to my now passed Landlord, Doug. They have taught me true meanings of Christian service; work with no expectations, just doing it because of love.

Watching my dear friends connect the friendship circle was AMAZING! The amount of ideas and interests that overlapped just blew my mind! It was so fun to watch all four of them unwrap the gift of friendship and discovery!

I made this flyer a couple months ago for our show tonight. I meant to post it here and print off copies to hand out like it was 1998, but I never got around to it. Anyway, I’m really excited to jam with the homies tonight.

25 years ago we were cutting up magazines at AmeriCopy to flyer these shows and now we’re clipping digitized film videos to make a reel for one. Damn. Have you tried our mortadella sandwich yet? We start with our sandwich bread — baked fresh each morning — and then add mortadella, burrata, and pistachio pesto. It’s simple but it doesn’t need to be anything more than that.

What a joy and an honor it was to love and to have been loved by this dog, our prince, our sweet little boy, our Berkeley Bear. We said goodbye to him yesterday. There is a gaping hole in our hearts and in our home and we are not okay. by @bearpawriver

Hi everyone, this weekend — Friday and Saturday night only — we’re going to try something new: New York slices! Slices go on sale at 8:00 pm each night and we’ll keep them going till 10:00 pm or until sold out. If it goes well, it may be something we do every weekend.

Our sweet prince turns THIRTEEN today! True to teenager form, Berkeley acquired a taste for sleeping in this year, and he grumbles and moans more than he used to. But he’s still the sweetest boy ever. He loves food and his people (in that order) and loves going out to the front yard for potty breaks (there are better smells in the front yard). At best, he’s still indifferent to other dogs (sorry Teddy (Teddy is @hillaryro’s parents’ dog who LOVES Berkeley (and every other dog and person and living creature))) and loves barking at every animal on TV. He’s just the best and we love him more and more every day. by @bearpawriver
