Last night, at the Easter Vigil, I was confirmed and received my First Communion in the Catholic Church. God has called me to journey with Him and walk more closely by His side, and I feel incredibly blessed to have deepened my relationship with Him in this way.

I’ve been on this faith journey for the past six years, and I’m so grateful for how it has brought me closer to the Lord and His Church. When I helped lead Encounter my senior year at Bellarmine, I came up with a motto one night that captured how I saw God, with help from Ignatian spirituality I had learned through school: ‘I see God in all things, with all things, and through all things.’ I’ve carried this with me throughout this entire journey, and last night felt like the culmination of it all.

The love and warmth I’ve experienced through His presence, both in my life and through others, has been immeasurable. I truly cannot express how grateful I am for everyone who has supported and guided me along the way, especially Fr. Celio, Dr. Taberski, and my sponsor Ava. Their encouragement, wisdom, and example have meant so much to me throughout this journey.

I’m so grateful for where this journey has brought me, and I can’t wait to see where God leads me next.
