Had the honour of giving the opening address for Helen Ansell’s new exhibition in Mullewa.

Had some great chats with locals and those who’d made the trip from Geraldton and Perth — all there to support Helen and see her incredible work.

I spent some of my childhood in the Wheatbelt and have some wonderful memories so the trip was extra special.

Helen’s exhibition is a beautiful tribute to her dad, Don, and the wildflowers, landscape and life they shared.

If you’re heading through the Mid West this wildflower season, Mullewa is well worth a stop. MP

Term 3 enrolments are now open!

I’m really looking forward to getting back into the weekly workshops in Busselton.

Whether you’ve been before or you’ve always wanted to give acting a go, these workshops are designed to be practical, supportive and a lot of fun. We’ll explore improvisation, scene work, audition techniques, working on camera and, most importantly, building confidence.

There are two Monday workshops running throughout Term 3:

🎬 Drama for Camera (8–13 years)
🕓 4:00–5:30pm

🎥 Acting for Camera (Teens & Adults)
🕠 5:30–7:00pm

I’d love to see all my current students back for another term, and I’m looking forward to meeting plenty of new faces as well.

Had a quick stop in Mullewa today and somehow ended up playing an old restored antique piano at the Helen Ansell Studio Gallery.

Met some absolute legends and had one of those random little country WA moments that sticks with you.
