September treated us pretty well ☀️Only one rainy day, just to remind me that somewhere out there, autumn is actually happening 🍂

Work-wise… peak season is officially in full swing and it’s been intense🫣But Málaga has a way of balancing things out, forcing you to hit the beach, go for a walk, grab dinner outside and simply get out of the house🥹
And honestly, the sunshine does most of the saving☀️🙏 Somehow, working this hard feels a lot more manageable when life outside looks like this 🌴🥰

Walking through the streets, it’s so easy to miss the little details that make all the difference and give a place its unique charm🥹

I had walked past this spot countless times and never noticed the antique shop🤷🏼‍♀️ But now, every time I pass by, I stop to look, admire the tiny pictures painted on the bricks… 😍and sometimes I pick one to add to my collection😅🥰

Sometimes, all it takes is slowing down and looking a little closer🥹

My new little gem on Málaga’s culinary map😍 @mestiza_gastrobar is simply exceptional - fresh, surprising flavours and food made with real heart👏🏻The Romanian-Colombian couple behind this place put so much passion, warmth and personality into everything they do🥹You can feel it in the atmosphere, in their hospitality, and most of all, on every plate. They work incredibly hard every single day, and that dedication shines through.

My must-tries:
🤍Ensalada de berenjena - 10€
🤍Tataki de Atun - 15,5€,
🤍Steak Tartare - 13€
… and honestly, every single dessert🤤 🤍

A special place I keep coming back to. Highly recommended!🫶🏻

Wine Bars - is this a new trend in Málaga? 🤔I think we can call it that because lately, more and more wine bars have been popping up around the city, including spots focused on natural wines, with a few small plates to go with them😄

A Reel about them is coming soon😈 but for now, let’s start with this tiny bar that feels a little off the beaten path.

@parentesisbar 🥰 Good wines, a short menu and above all, if you’re a fan of natural wines, this is your place😎 I had the chance to try orange wine here for the first time, something I’d been curious about for a while🍊🍷

The hummus was excellent, plus cheeses, gildas and a great sharing platter. Just the kind of place for some gossip with a friend over a glass of wine and a few little bites🍷😎Definitely one to save🤍

Caminito del Rey is one of the most spectacular places in Málaga province and definitely one of my favourite 😍 There are a few things worth knowing before your visit:go!

🎟️ Book your tickets in advance. Individual tickets sell out quickly. If you book a guided tour, you can ask to leave the group and continue on your own.

⏰ Remember: add at least 20 minutes before your entry time to walk to the starting point, where you collect your helmet and the adventure begins.

🚗 Driving? Plan extra time for parking (2€). Depending on where you park, allow around 5 minutes from Parking 1 or 15 minutes from Parking del Centro de Recepción de visitantes (P) or 30 minutes from P2 to reach the tunnel.

🚌 The route is one-way. At the end, in El Chorro, you’ll need to take a shuttle bus to get back to where you parked.

🥾 The hike takes around 1.5 hours on your own or 2/2.5 hours with a guided group.

🚻 There are no toilets or bins on the trail. Use the facilities before entering and take your rubbish with you.

😉Is it scary? Not really! It’s an easy and enjoyable hike. The height can be challenging mainly for people with a strong fear of heights.

If you remember Catedral del Pescaito, the restaurant that served the best octopus in town, then you probably remember a side of Málaga that is slowly fading away🥹
They were forced to close during the pandemic, but they’ve come back with a new place, name and a new menu (I still miss the octopus, though🥲😅)@os_sobran_los_motivos

The place feels wonderfully local, with almost the same interior, incredibly fresh ingredients, and genuinely delicious food😍Sitting there brought back so many memories. For a moment, I felt like I was in the Málaga I first fell in love with, where it’s all about local food and no unnecessary fuss🤷🏼‍♀️

They’re only open for lunch, but it’s absolutely worth planning your day around it🤓 Part of me wants to keep this little gem a secret because I know it’ll soon be impossible to get a table… 🫣🥹but good places deserve to be shared🥰
