What’s better than a burger and waffle fries done right?

Ones made by an eatery suggested by someone who calls it their “Local”. Thanks for the tip by @_hygge_and_hearth and @mcmillentattoos this juicy burger and perfectly seasoned fry was tagged by @catttmomma as one of her all-time favorites – enough that she even considered going back a second time before leaving Colorado for home!

What’s holding us back?

Wind, rain, frost, floods, fires. Nature is always willing to be shaped by The Eternal Sculptor. Yesterday, today, tomorrow – is ever changing. Evolving.

And He’s changing us.
He isn’t waiting for us to have everything together.
This Sculptor has plans for the future and emotions to express in the now, and we are His expression.

Are we willing to let go and be shaped?
From the smallest of us, to the greatness of One.
Life is calling.

Want to go on a hike? 😁
Climb with us on this endurance-tester; this winding, rocky path cut into the mountains of the James Peak Wilderness – a 3 mile trail that rises 1,500 feet in elevation.

…and we conquered it with one bottle of water each. 😝

Lesson learned. We were prepared with hiking boots and the right outfits for the trek, but we aren’t the best at planning for the right amount of water – or the actual length of the hike. We could have used another. 😝
However, I love saying we made it to the lakes, and the views are worth the exhaustion we endured!

We asked our server at @crosscutpizza where we should go for the best hiking, and she led us down this road.
WE DID NOT KNOW WHAT WE WERE IN FOR! 😳 😂

On the way, we turn off the main windy road through the mountains and find ourselves in this dirt road at Rollinsville, and in the historic town of Tolland is schoolhouse painted in Hawaiian Pineapple. If it was any other color, it would not have looked anywhere near this good with Colorado’s changing colors of Fall. I had to pull the car over and appreciate this scene.

Buffalo Bill and his Wild West Circus Show is still alive!
as a coffee house and cafe. 😁 I love capturing this one in photograph, with train cars and a red caboose from the early 1900’s, and Buffalo Bill’s car from 1872. Famous for their mini donuts – seen in the panoramic view of the cafe – leather sofa, wooden chairs and tables, and an upright piano cozy this place up.

Around the final twist of road, from Boulder, Colorado, through Boulder Canyon Drive is Nederland. The Middle Boulder Creek Covered Bridge was a welcoming sight to see as we arrived for Amanda’s birthday. This historic mountain town still carries its charm, the creek still flows naturally through, and this birthday girl looks even more beautiful today than she did on our anniversary seven years ago. 😍

We have a thing for unique stays on our travels – and container homes. Hygge + Hearth delivered on all accounts. I shared an outside view while we were there. Here’s our walk-through.
View from the Adirondack chairs made us feel like we could see everywhere from Black Hawk and Nederland to Boulder and Estes Park, but no matter how far the eyes can see – the Rocky Mountains always stand the most majestic!

And we were blessed to wake up to that mountain air.

Since Prince Edmund GQ did so good watching the house for us, we now have stories to share from our most recent Colorado trip, and more from our journey through Greece! I’m feeling like sharing a few memories from our Día de Muertos road trip through Mexico last year, too
- Because On the Move is not just about where we are now, but how yesterday’s places help shape our lives for the future, and the people we meet along the way shape the appreciation we have for daily living.
