High fashion in the middle of Princeton, right before the light disappeared.
One of the things I appreciated most about shooting with @ghost_of_microdol was watching him work with light. We were losing daylight, but somehow every frame still looks like it came from a studio.

This shoot was inspired by Umrao Jaan, and in her story what has stayed with me way more than her beauty or her poetry. It is how easily the world reduced her to a single label.
I think we still do that today.
We are quick to judge a woman by one chapter of her life, without caring about the chapters that came before it.
The older I get, the more I find myself asking different questions. Not what did she do? But what did she live through? What did it take for her to become who she is?
Every woman has a story. Most of us only hear the version that is easiest to tell. Or the version they see online, or the season of life they are currently in. Using that we judge and create an idea of her that's easiest for us to digest.

I wish we took a moment to check our biases and what we are socialized to think before making assumptions about women. by @myndimensions

We were in Paris for Fashion Week and wanted to see the Eiffel Tower lit up at night. Got to Trocadéro after midnight and to our shock lights were off 😂

So we just hung around making these videos. A lot of “okay now film me” and “wait, let me do it again.”

You would think we had done enough walking that week. But no we love doing the model walk 😎

But more than anything, this one makes me grateful.
Amna, thank you for bringing me along on this journey with @randhawabrands and for trusting me to represent your work in Paris. None of this happens without the designer behind the look, and your beautiful designs are what made this moment possible.
Working with you has genuinely been such a joy. You put so much thought, care and detail into your clothes, but you also bring that same energy to the people wearing them. I feel incredibly lucky that one of your designs, on me, ended up on the pages of Harper’s Bazaar with the Eiffel Tower behind us. I mean... come on. 🥹🇫🇷

Had so much fun shooting for @coconee_ with @jerrell.rolack @krissykstudios in Paris 🥹 This dress is inspired by the New Zealand admiral butterfly, and I loved getting to play with the fabric and spread those wings 🦋
