POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Sometimes life puts you in a moment you never asked for, never expected, and can never forget. Mynnye was working on the Lake Pontchartrain cruise boat when they witnessed a plane come crashing into the water. In the middle of the chaos, fear, and confusion, two lives were lost and somehow, through all that terror, they found the courage to help save another. She was terrified. She witnessed something no person should ever have to see, and now she carries the emotional weight of that moment with her. The images, the sounds, the fear, and the feeling of knowing that lives were lost can stay with you long after the moment is over. Sometimes the people who become heroes in an emergency are also the ones who need someone to check on them afterward. Her story is a reminder that trauma doesn’t always come from something that happens directly to you. Sometimes, simply witnessing tragedy can change you forever. Today, we listen. We acknowledge her pain. We honor the lives that were lost, and we recognize the courage it took for her to reach through her own fear and help someone else. She may have been terrified, but she still chose to help. And sometimes, courage looks exactly like that. ❤️‍🩹🫶🏾🕊️☎️ by @mynnye17
